Decided to circle back and say I want the man of the creaky joints and free-flowing hair, Roger Hodgson, to play this spot.

Supertramp bangers or nothing, lads.

If only. I used to work alongside John Helliwell (Supertramp Saxophonist) at the Manchester Jazz Festival. He's so unassuming and kind. As a band they'll never be back.

Saw Abba Voyage last night. Get that up as legend slot asap.

The technology involved makes it impossible to achieve without it being a massively diluted experience.

There's a reason they built a dedicated customised hall for it.

And it's not even the real ABBA - just a tribute band wearing really good masks.

My understanding is that it used taped vocals of the real ABBA, on top of music played live by a house band?

But either way yeah, it's not even remotely transferable. The daylight would expose it massively and remove any "magic".

Priscilla: Queen of the desert is one of my favourite films for all sorts of reasons, its a great watch. but perhaps its greatest gift to the world is the quote

"i've said it before, and i'll say it again. NO MORE FUCKING ABBA"

I probably say it a minimum of three times a week since i first saw it in the late nineties, and there just isn't a situation where it's not an appropriate thing to say.

Not sure a lot of the young crowd even know who Supertramp are these days. A shame.

Yep the reaction to my post proves they are perhaps unsuitable for the legend slot but I wouldn't be at all unhappy if he appeared somewhere on the farm.

ABBA Voyage spoilers

A bloke at my work was convinced the night that he went they all came onstage at the end after the performance to take a bow.  He just couldn't be convinced that even the 2023 version of ABBA was also part of the vfx side of the show.

A friend went the other night too and said how amazing it was and that he’s still thinking about how they did it etc…

Wont be long before lots of others do it rather than touring
