gigpusher
It’s funny how we seem to be going straight from 60’s and 70’s stars to 90’s ones. Got me thinking today who from the 80’s would be good for the slot. Adam Ant, Bon Jovi??

Justiceforcedave
Lots of suggestions for bands. Not that there are any 'rules' but I always figured the tea time slot was for individuals rather than bands? Only kinda exception was Jeff Lynne's ELO, but even that has his name plastered all over it.

I think they take whoever they can get really, theres only so many legends that if a band fell into place that was a suitable size then they would 100% accept. I am sure if the pool is getting smaller they would accept bands as well.

I'd also be delighted with Bon Jovi, and Robbie Williams would bring the house down as well. Could well be Pulp, although I think their appeal is somewhat overstated by fans who hold them in high nostalgic regard.
CaledonianGonzo
Still baffled by this Eurythmics veneration. Sweet Dreams and There Must Be An Angel are a given. Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves is OK and makes the cut, likewise It's Alright Baby's Coming Back. But are people really jonesing to hear things like Thorn In My Side and Sexcrime 1984? Although I'm not aware that Eurythmics are in any way active. Get Annie Lennox on her own and you could get the Eurythmics hits and some of her own hits. John the Moth
Random thought… Barbra Streisand would be epic for the legends slot. Absolutely no reason to think she’s in the frame mind.

I'm still baffled why you don't mention Love is a Stranger, Here Comes the Rain Again, Would I Lie to You, When Tomorrow Comes, The Miracle of Love, Who's That Girl, Right By Your Side... They could even add Thorn in My Side for you as a mid set filler .. They performed at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November and are relative pups compared with Macca, Reg, Diana, Dolly Lionel etc.. If they fancied earning some pension bucks off of a big tour, then a Sunday afternoon promo on The Pyramid wouldn't harm ticket sales. * I still think Michael McDonald/Doobie Bros should be in the mix.. Mind you, beyond What a Fool Believes, they've got bugger all as well 🙄 Edited January 3, 2023 by BlueDaze after thought
