gfa
So I take it we're clueless again and Roxy Music has been disregarded? Would love Pulp to do the slot to be honest, 100% legendary enough and don't think i'd be more excited for anyone to do that slot more than them. Mind you, beyond What a Fool Believes, they've got bugger all as well 🙄 You may well be being ironic, but I'll bite anyway.... Saw the Doobies a couple of years ago and the set was epic, would go down a storm..... especially if you include some Michael McDonald solo stuff. Many might not know these by name, but take a listen and if you were around, you'll know them: Long Train Runnin', Listen to the Music, China Grove, You Belong To Me, Little Darling (I Need You), Minute By Minute, What A Fool Believes (as mentioned), Sweet Freedom, Yah Mo Be There, I Keep Forgettin', On My Own.... (good opportunities for some guest vocal appearances there too for extra vibes) And all the Doobie stuff is very funky and accessible, it'd be a blast, I'd love it for sure

ClementsMike
I saw some Eurythmic thing on a music tv channel over the Xmas period. They’ve got a stack of great tunes that would make a brilliant set. Worthy.

Freddyflintstonree
Thinking it must be a female legend now, to counter the (unfair) press that's gonna come from three males headliners. Would also make sense why they've held onto it as well. Edited January 5, 2023 by Freddyflintstonree

I can imagine it well. 40 dancers on stage for the first 10 minutes. Madonnna eventually walks out, and starts singing. Sort of. Nobody knows the song. Wait - eventually someone is able to make out some of the lyrics. We do know the song, it's just the arrangement is unrecognisable. And repeat for the rest of the set.
Justcalledtosay
Is there anything stopping her doing an extended Legends slot? Logistically i mean. Could be one way around it.

There were rumours Madge was approached to headline 2019 and she’s an act I’m pretty sure they’d drop everything to book if she was interested. Madonna at Glastonbury would be a must see but really could go either way.
