Don't care.  This would be ace!

May be an image of 1 person and text that says "THE QUEEN OF ROCK 'N ROLL Performing A Career Spanning Show SUZI QUATRO November 2023 Sun 12 Cardiff St David's Hall Mon 13 Brighton Dome Wed 15 London Palladium Thu 16 Wolverhampton The Halls at The Civic Sat 18 Manchester Bridgewater Hall SUZIQUATRO.COM AEGPRESENTS.CO.UK AXS.COM"

First gig I've noticed booked for the renovated Wolves Civic. Been a long time.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Kylie was announced early, before other gigs (like Werchter) got out. Diana Ross, was she originally announced around her 2020 tour poster? Whoever it is this year might not have any dates listed around the festival, so they don't need to break the seal. Could be Duran Duran, could be Mariah given she's willing to accept a slot other than the top of the bill, as per that vegas lineup.

DiRo had a tour announced with a GSH. Can't remember I Kylie was a one off.

Both were pre Christmas announcements though. Kylie in December, DiRo in Oct for 2020 and Nov for 2022.

Maria Carey would make a lot of sense, in the same way I became convinced it was Stevie Nicks. But she’s definitely got that couldn’t place her anywhere else on the bill aspect about her.

Would she do it?

Doesnt seem one for low fees or non headline slots regardless of how they dress it up.

I’ve no idea, probably not, she’s just one of only very few bookings that if they were announced they’d have me thinking, yeah that makes a lot of sense.

As with my referee to Stevie, I was convinced it was her and then it obviously wasn’t, so it’s likely to be the same thing.

He last played as sub-headliner in 2015, he does always play the more popular material from his solo era as well as a couple of Jam and Style Council numbers, but he definitely doesn't have the "play the hits" mentality needed for the legend slot.

I know, just wishful thinkng.

Booking Pulp for that slot would be no different to them calling Primal Scream or the Manics in future years.

There are enough slots for these sort of acts as it is.

Pulp are a weird one as while musically/tonally they don't fit the slot, Jarvis himself sort of does - his presenting work and such post-Pulp have turned him into something of a national treasure.

Pulp are a little bit more of a rarity with decades between their tours, Manics and Primal Scream have basically not stopped doing annual gigs and festivals since the 90s.

But yeah otherwise agree, doesn't seem quite right when they're a good fit for any number of slots across the festival.

I'm still hanging on for Ozzy. 😁

His last date is a home game, Birmingham 24th June.

Nobody can say that he isn't a legend.

Again it'll be a miracle if any shows go ahead, he can barely stand up, Zakk Wylde even double-booked himself for a now-cancelled Pantera show
