Really hits that “oh I didn’t know they did that that one too!” criteria you need in a good legend slot.
The Nal
+1 for Carole King. Pipes still the biz for an 80 year old too. Edited July 4, 2022 by The Nal

Punksnotdead
Haven't been on here for a while, but just seen people talking about Cliff being the legend. To quote Sister Michael from Derry Girls: "Have you lost your actual minds?" 😯
Mezhyp1
would Duran Duran quite qualify for this yet?

That was probably the last relaxing one. I am one of the people who doesn’t really like the hype of the legend slot. I think you should only go and see someone if you like them and not so you can take a selfie and say you saw the legend. The absolute best was Ray Davies when the football did the job of thinning the crowd out.

Tears for Fears have a few hits and Duran Duran could slay it. Problem there is they’re still releasing stuff and I think still see themselves as going concerns rather than having got to the ‘touring the hits round the nostalgia circuit’ stage. Could a-ha do it, or are they too small? Morten Harket definitely still has the pipes:
CaledonianGonzo
If folk can't handle Macca doing lesser known Beatles songs and Wings songs they'll struggle with Legend slot acts who only have one or two big songs.
Isaact
Depeche Mode is the 80s band that would absolutely kill it but given what happened with Fletch I'm not convinced that they will play another festival again. They would be perfect though, they have more than enough hits. Although they are probably a band that works better at night rather than on a Sunday afternoon in the sunshine. Enjoy the Silence would be incredible with that kind of audience though. Edited July 4, 2022 by Isaact

Rose-Colored Boy
At least let us dream for a week 😞 hopefully he’s changed his mind since or it’s duff info.
