Ridiculously big Glastonbury Arial overlay Map based on Google Earth 2019

Been staring at this for ages getting excited, this is great.

Wondering if in a similar vein to the "walking times" table doing the rounds, if anyone has ever plotted on a map the best / least busy routes between stages?

I suppose it fluctuates depending on when acts finish around the site, but as a general rule of thumb for example I would always avoid pyramid field if I am storming it from West Holts to John Peel... Or at least enter at the very back of Pyramid field. There must be some good shortcuts people use!

I am thinking about that, marking popular distance lines between points of interest then using 3 mph as a walking speed to come up with a rough time

I wish they would let the Google Maps Car on site to have a quick whizz round on the Tuesday evening once everything is set up

That would be great 🤩

Such a great job mate. I hope you can find time to work on it some more. Thank you.

A finished 2019 version would be great, this has already made me reconsider where we were going to camp. Friends want to move away from Oxlyers and I hadn't realised quite how far the walk round bushy ground past all the crew camping would be!

It's also great to try and plan to be near a compost toilet.

Thanks for the maps!  I love pouring over the detail. Even when you think you’re really familiar with the site there’s always new things you notice.
I do GIS / mapping for a living, I would LOVE to be the mapping officer for GFL 😀
