Leaving the site on the Monday

After years of getting a 6am coach and just powering through the Sunday night, I'm looking into getting the train back this year. What are the peak times in terms of people leaving the site? How long are you likely to be queuing for a Castle Cary shuttle bus at, say, 11 or midday?

Could be an hour. Could be 5 hours. Its a bit of a shambles to be honest. Free for all.

Best thing to do is book a coach to a train station, Bristol or wherever, and go from there.

At least you have a guaranteed time then. We stupidly assumed the Glasto coaches would go on time the first year we did coach but it became quickly apparent that we were going to miss our flight if we didnt do something.

The staff - what was left of them - told us we could be waitiing for 3-4 hours after the scheduled departure time. So we paid for the National Express coach to Bristol, train to London, couple of train changes in rush hour and made our 7pm flight in Heathrow literally by 10 seconds. Good 7 or 8 hours of sustained panic traveling. Monday after the festival. Never again.

But if you're not in any rush its ok.
