Except for the very large numbers of people who left his set early.
Again this is information from someone I’ve known a long time and trust.
Happy to admit this is a personal choice, but also it would be (for me) much more of a party. Plus Kraftwerk would be so much better in the dark, NY, Macca and Elton - doesn’t matter
Elton was a great party at the pyramid but I was glad he played most of the songs I wanted to hear in the first half of the set. I managed to catch all of Crocodile Rock making my way through the crowd to get to QOTSA. My only regret was not leaving earlier to catch more QOTSA but that's more to do with how good they were rather than a knock on Elton.
No way the crowd will be anywhere near as busy (thankfully) for Neil Young but I would fancy him to outperform Elton from a musical perspective based on how well they've aged. Tad biased here though as NY in my number one guy haha
Yeah, I think that's it. Whilst that's 10 years ago, there are a tonne of bands in this category and they try and keep things fresh.
It's the leading indie names they repeat, in part as they need to drive sales from their appearance and there are fewer of them.
That's mostly historical listeners and oldies listening to that type of music.
Weezer have more than twice the monthly listeners than fender. Around the same monthly listeners on Spotify as Muse. Bob Dylan gets more monthly listeners than both. Mitzki is another one who gets double the monthly listeners to the likes of Weezer, Muse and Fender.
Personally don't think Spotify is really a great indication on festival lineups.
Really looking forward to PDM, should be a great party. 😍
