You can't predict it as I hate to say it but the weather is a key factor.

We had a previous year when it was pretty damp, but being at the Pyramid and hearing Supergrass sing Sun Hits the Sky as the rain stopped and it actually did so was tremendous, very much helped  by how warmly it was welcomed by the crowd.

Some time around midnight on the Wednesday, stood leaning on the railing at Tricketts with a nice pint of ale, soaking up the atmosphere and taking in the glorious view.

Walking through the gate and being hit by the sonic wave of noise, the cacophony that surrounds you, creating an atmosphere that stimulates every sense at once.

My god how good is it knowing we are back to the hallowed ground in 6 weeks to make so many more memories.

Walking through the gates is all it will take for me.  Getting to Pilton from the US is so much work that putting on a wristband and passing through the gate is enough to make a "moment."

Dunno I reckon it's good to look forward to some moments that you know for a fact will be Moments for you!

it has ben so long.

I know I'm going to cry. Being in that field. Surrounded by people. The hustle and bustle. As soon as the first band I see plays even the hint of a sad/emotional chord progression I'll be completely overwhelmed. And I'm all for it.

but if you know for a fact its going to be a moment then its not a true moment because moments get you when you least expect it

Surprise moments are no doubt the best, but you can have expected moments too! Looking forward to something for ages and then having it finally happen = a moment IMO. You get that warm fuzzy blissed out feeling of being at peace.

For example I know my midnight pint at Trickets on the Wednesday will be a moment because it has been a moment every year since about 2014. I look forward to it all year. It's been 3 years now so if anything it'll be even more of a moment when it finally happens. Even if it's shitting down with rain and the hill is a mudslide, or if there's a nasty cold wind blowing through like 2019.  I love it 🙂
