Traffic Thursday

I can’t leave until Thursday this year due to childcare, what is the traffic/queuing usually like getting in around midday? Worried that we’ll lose the Thursday as well as the Wednesday if we’ll be sat in traffic all day. Thanks

Most people arrive on Wednesday and that's where all tales of queues come from.  Unless there has been a biblical flood in the car parks, I wouldn't expect any large queues on a Thursday, either for the car park or wristbands.

You're likely to be in one of the more far flung car fields (and possibly camping field too... where there is space), so do think carefully about how you are going to transport your stuff.  Trolleys are a god send.  Especially if you are hoping to do only one load in order to maximise your time in the festival in Thursday.

Arrived Thursday 2017 - ZERO traffic, as in barely saw another car on the road, and waltzed through the gate.

Arrived Wednesday 6pm 2019 - Pretty much no traffic - arrived with other cars but drove in a 10mph convoy from the road through the car parks to our eventual parking slot. Walked to gate D and again waltzed through with no queue. Biggest hold up was walking down muddy lane against the flow of people doing second trips back to the car park.
