Hi all. Camped here many times before so know the drill of getting in early. Got some friend arriving Tues in a camper so they're gonna go in and put a tent up as we can't get down till later on the weds evening so no worries there.  

I'm slightly put off by glastonbury on sea tbh and wondered if anyone camped there last time? Just don't want to be be overlooked  by everyone. We camp usually close to greenfields and near the tipi fields top left if your looking up from the bottom of the hill. 

Anyone got any experiences of last time?

I always end up crashing at Pennards, as my mate normally bunks in on the Monday or Tuesday and when the coast is clear sticks up a fatty tent that once people make it through inevitably gravitate towards. You have to be careful though as a load of people got chucked out a few tents away from us the other year because someone without a wristband passed out on the floor and security noticed his bare wrist. Be warned!

Hi rhe tent will be going up on the weds when the gates open. Not before. Don't get me involved in that argument haha

If you havent got a wristband, you need to time it right. Pop it up too early and there is a risk security can come round asking questions, leave it too late and all the keen, wet lunches who queue overnight on the Wednesday might nick all the space.

Bit of an unrelated question, but how do you differentiate which campsite you are currently in? At other festivals there are coloured flags etc, how does it work at Glasto?

Just vaguely remember where you are camped and stumble back in the morning. I have had on a few occasions not being able to find my tent when spangled, i usually just go into a random tent for a kip and people normally dont care too much.

I suspect they’ll not do it neatly and pack them up tidily but pull them up and lob them on a trailer 

I assumed @bigbillymeans when his Campervan friends enter the festival on Wednesday morning they'll then put his tent up for him , which should be fine

Just with saying "tempted" I wasn't sure as they'd have no way of getting into the festival on the Tuesday

Handy to know, i will pass that information onto my mate who brings the big communal tent. He has never had any hassle before, but its always good to hear some inside information on possible crackdowns such as this.
