Fireworks is a nice addition for me but overall I'm not feeling the line up this year.

Yeah was thinking of making this my first Slam Dunk, and tbf I’ll probably still end up going, but the lineup largely isn’t doing it for me apart from a couple of (granted, pretty great) names (who will probably all clash knowing my luck).

Yeah I'll happily take Millencollin but not much else in yesterday's announcement for me.

It's already stacked though, and clashes will be the biggest problem once again.

Same ole Slam Dunk problem - a great problem to have!  I struggle to find 5 or 6 bands a day i like at most festivals, but SD can fill a couple of days for me.

It's a shame there are quite a few bands that would headline this festival perfectly but are too big: Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Blink-182, Paramore...

Clashes are always so bad that at some point they're gonna have to expand and do two days at each, with like 1 or 2 fewer stages per day but more bands over the course of the weekend. And when they do this, hopefully the fees they can afford goes up and they can reach the big pop-punk bands

Even with Slam Dunk's famous clashes, I can't see them clashing Rancid and Offspring.

My hunch is for Rancid to play under The Offspring like Dropkicks. Rancid are rare but they certainly aren't an arena band whereas The Offspring managed to get back there. It could be Rancid/Offspring co-head main, Shikari Jagermeister and Billy Talent in the Neck Deep slot?

If they pull in Rancid as well that's mega. I don't see BFS headlining a top 3 stage now.

Signed up specifically as I was hunting Reading (decided with its change to rap and awful acts its a no from me) & Slam Dunk rumours for this year - attending Slam Dunk this year for only the 2nd time (1st time was in 2010 😬). What are the chances of repeat bookings from the previous year? I've noticed recently there hasn't been as much of it as there were previous years. Missed last year because of work and for me it was one of my favourite of recent lineups. Would have really liked to have seen Beartooth, The Amity Affliction, Stand Atlantic & Hot Milk along with several others.

Would love Rancid on this, I've wanted to see them since I was about 14. Assuming A Day To Remember would be big now to be on this unless they were headlining? Also another q - i'll be 31 by the time Slam Dunk rolls around next year rather than the 18 year old I was last time so getting the train home half cut won't be ideal for me and i'd rather stumble to a hotel. Probably a no brainer but I'm guessing there's plenty of hotels fairly close by Hatfield Park. Do they tend to shoot up in price closer to the festival?

I would book a hotel sooner rather than later, especially if you can get one with free cancellation that you pay on the day, no harm done then.

Was quite lucky pre empting the move around of days and managed to get a premier inn walking distance from Leeds for just over £50
