Parking and leaving

Hi all, I'm planning on arriving Tuesday night so I can que to get a good camping spot, was then planning on leaving Wednesday lunchtime to collect my young son... this is the busiest time for people arriving , I was just wondering if anyone knows if I can exit easily at this time? first question... which side are you arriving Tuesday night? I would say it will be bloody difficult either side, but I would think East side would be worse because the one way routes into the car parks. West side car parks tend to be closer to the A361 and therefore the escape will be easier. Either way you are choosing a mega busy time for arrivals.

Hi , thanks for your reply.  I was planning to go to the East Side...... just not keen on being stuck trying to get out for hours 😬 or maybe it's not possible to exit with the amount of traffic arriving ......

Would it be possible for your son to get the Shuttle bus in instead? I think that they operate a one way system for traffic on the wednesday so getting off site and back in again could be tricky. I used the Glastonbury Shuttle and its very efficient - if your son could get to Glastonbury town I'd recommend that as the best way to get him on site. It goes to Gate A so you could meet him there

Thank you but he's only 5. He will be at my parents house who live about 40 mins away and they are looking after my 1yr old so can't really get them to meet me on site as wouldn't want my daughter stuck in the car for hours

My advice would be to have a good chat with the parents over tthe logistics of them bringing him to the festival drop off point.  You can shuttle out to the drop off to meet them.  This is likely to be the simplest plan and least likely to backfire.
