I'm terrified of getting covid or any sort of illness just before the festival.

It’s getting it there early on that gets me. You start getting symptoms 2 days after. So need to avoid it till the Saturday essentially.

For the majority of people let’s not forget the symptoms are akin to a cold.

I’ve drank through a cold before so I sure as hell wouldn’t be letting covid hold me back.

Had it back in December 2020 and been jabbed up to my eyeballs since.

Would be my intention too. But I need to be 100% to drag myself around that joint 😂

Nahhh, don't test, keep your blood alcohol levels high enough, you'll never even know. 😉

In terms of cancellations only, obviously don’t want to drop anyone that i really want to see but on the other there are loads of bands waiting with glastonbury shaped holes on their tours to step in. So many acts haven’t been able to get on the lineup like Everything Everything, Chvrches, Rina Sawayama, Surf Curse, we could get some interesting replacements!

Bad times. That 4th para can fuck itself. Surely we are looking at a huge superspreading event. Masks anyone?

It's definitely going to be a super spreader event, no doubt about it.

If people are worried about it, then stick to outside spaces - there's not a lot else you can do. Once people have a few beers in them, it'll be less of an issue.

I’m intrigued about this to

Well it’s pertinent isn’t it? It’s more pertinent than people spending hours watching weather models a week out. This has greater potential to ruin the festival than the weather. Catch it before or early on and festival ruined.

We all know about Covid, I have no idea why this thread keeps being brought up to cause further anxiety.

On that basis to protect half the people commenting in the weather thread that should be shut down. That’s an anxiety disorder of its own

It is a thing is it not? Not sure I can make it

We know it's about now. Everyone's made their choice to go or not. Started as a semi-interesting question about what happens if acts pull out, and now you're on to how it's going to be a super spreader event and ruin people's festivals. Basically turning it into yet another covid thread when we'd just about got rid of the bastard things. Nearly a third of the posts in the thread are yours. So yeah.

I’m actually one and I’d like to just try and forget about covid and enjoy the build up … I’m fully aware it’s about and a risk … but let’s just enjoy the moment if that’s possible

Agree with this. I'm meeting a friend for a drink tonight and thats giving me anxiety. It's a risk, of course. I wont be masking up at the festival (unless I do catch it there!) and it will be blessed relief to be around other people and not be thinking about it for 5 days.
