Potential Covid Cancellations

50% of the acts across the board could be cancelled and it will still be a completely epic festival, that everybody has waited 2.5 years for and we need more than we know.

As long as me and my fam don't get it in a way that holds us back, and we've all but one had it before.

i wipe my arse with this thread.

those that miss the festival because they are too sick, god love you and see you next time.

I have it now - I think it’s the first time I’ve had it as well. I was expecting something more cold like, but it has hit me harder than I was expecting. I’m 3 and a bit days into it.. definitely worth taking extra care in the lead up to the festival - I’m not sure I could do it feeling like this, so I’m glad I have it now.

Take it really easy from now up to the festival. It hit me fairly hard and dragged on for months…hopefully that won’t happen for you. If it does, what seemed to work for me (to my amazement) was decent CBD.

Not the first time I've heard that... Have a friend who's still taking the stuff to ease the effects of long covid contracted months ago.

I put a poll up a week ago. Around 60% wouldn't test at all and around 24% would only test if they had symptoms.

I'd be surprised if the bands were more dilgent than that

You’re assuming they haven’t been asked to by the organiser as part of the contract

if you tracked any viral illness to the extent they track covid you would see waves coming and going....the difference is if we see a wave of say the flu or the common cold or others we dont shut the country down in a panic! To be honest anyone who still pays attention to this crap is just looking for an excuse to be scared it seems. It will certainly be the last thing on my mind when im enjoying glastonbury!

Assume this was Xmas time last year?

Earlier this year. We were chatting just after I'd had it (early April) and her second time was just before then. I'd already done the calculations that I should be clear for Glastonbury and then spoke to her, which took the wind out of my sails.

Depends on who fills in.

No I pretty much have at least 3 people I want to see at any time of day or night so it should help me out regardless. If someone good replaces then I still just have my original number of clashes.

I think that major international tours with different entry requirements means there may still have to be a lot of testing done by bands as they go.

Covid cancellations were likely - indeed that's already been seen with Primavera - but I guess the extent is more the question.

Ha I'm the same on the Friday at least - every act I want to see is immediately replaced by another if they pull out. Missing two must sees for two other must sees on the Wolf Alice/Supergrass and Sam Fender/Phoebe Bridgers clash nightmares

I went down with it on Monday this week for the first time. Really rough Tues & Weds, improved since Thurs BUT today my body & brain currently feels like it does on the Monday after Glastonbury. I'm hoping for a full recovery in the next 10days. 🤞

3 week job for me in April of not feeling right. Never awful, but spaced the fuck out for a good bit.

Yes I have stages that I said had amazing line ups that I might barely visit because other stages have even more amazing line ups. I have clashes most days from morning first act all the way through!
