Coach and ticket; when do we get tickets?

Hi!
we’re booked on one of the deisgnated coaches where you get your festival ticket once you are on the coach.

my question is how does this work in practice?
so they literally take a register when you get on the coach?

how militant are they about timings? I.E does it get 5 mins past your allotted time and they go, regardless of whether you are there or not?

of course we will get there early, and know our designated coach, I just get the feeling it sounds like a free for all?!

thanks!

I could be wrong as I don't know how it works from different departures, but I believe you have an assigned coach (as how else would they sort the tickets) and so you have to catch the specific coach you are booked on.  They advise arriving 15 mins beforehand.  Tickets are passed out whenever the coach driver chooses to do it, usually mid journey.

Be there on time, if you are 5 minutes late how would the driver know you are going to turn up at all ?

Also, why is your time more important than the people you would keep waiting ?

For Seetickets going to the festival it certainly isn't a free for all.  People arrive, get on their coach and during the journey will be given their tickets.

Is there an issue with transport which makes you think you won't be there on time?

As you'd expect they have a coach load of people to deliver and a timetable to follow.

You should have received your coach tickets by email by now.

You will have a designated coach, each coach has a passenger list, and the driver of the coach has the tickets for the passengers listed on their coach.

I was worried when I received coach tickets only for my wife and I, no mention of the kids.  Obviously I want to see that they have seats allocated right?  I contacted seeTickets who basically said "the kids on are on the passenger list don't worry".  A week or 2 later came an automatic email to confirm how many kids and which coach they are on, but I got the impression they missed this and probably had so many enquiries about it that they had to rush out a quick mail merge email to everyone, it looked rushed and was without barcodes and such like.

You don't have to worry about it leaving on time if you are early.  We are going to get there earlier than early, ie. if the car breaks down that is taking us then we still  have time to call taxis.
