Worthy View Showers

Hiya, just a quick one, how communal are the actual showers in worthy view. I mean when your actually getting showered is it pretty well partitioned or can you see each other? Ta

There's a communal area where you get undressed and changed before you queue into the showers. Each shower is in its own cubicle and is completely private.

Not completely true. I believe one trailer had semi cubicles (much slower moving  queue) and the other just partitions between them. It is hard to tell which is which initially. You can wear swimwear a La “I’m a celebrity” and the advantage is that people move fast!

You must have used completely different showers to me 🤔 The (only?) ones I’ve used at WV since 2014 have a small partition between each shower, but no front curtain. The people opposite you are visible. But tbh no-one’s looking (and if they are, have at it! 😂). Everyone gets in and out as quickly as possible.

Weird! I went in 2019 and you definitely had a door (or maybe a curtain?) to separate you from everyone else. I'm confused now too   😂

I used the showers every day (of every festival) too 😄  Never a curtain in mine, just a vinyl partition to protect your modesty. There are 2 separate shower trucks, but 💯 sure I used both…🤔

I think maybe the reason they don’t offer private shower cubicles (like at other festivals I go to) is that people take AGES in them!! At least everyone’s out in 5-10 mins and the Q keeps moving at WV 😂

On the last day of 2019 I think I realised the other trailer had cubicles but nothing saying so. The queue for that side was noticeably slower of course! They need t preserve water as its all pumped up so it’s the best way to hurry people along. Tbh I do wear a strapless swimsuit but people are generally facing the wall and getting on with it

Ah ok, maybe I didn’t go in that one after all then. Especially if the Q was longer. I wear a towel in, then just get on with it. 2-3 mins and I’m out!

You should have been sent a link for a worthy view guide, that would probably have this information.

Sticklinch guide states: Showers will be open a minimum of 7:00am – 14:00pm and then 18:00pm – 23:00pm.

I bloody love a communal shower. Best part of playing a team sport. Post match tinny club in the shower 🤌

Me too! My OH is Austrian and I'm a complete convert to the German FKK - free body culture - life. Get me up in Lost Horizons ASAP! 😂

Indeed, I am used to the communal showers / naked mixed thermal centres in the Netherlands and I'd be totally ok with a row of showers if it means we can be in and out in 10 minutes because the Brits are too shy 😈

Don't get me started on having to wear a bathing costume in a British sauna!!!

Yup. Sweaty bathing suit. Urgh.

Will take one to the fest though for flannel/bucket wash out of the tent though!
