xxialac
Depeche Mode, Massive Attack and Pulp (surely) is a pretty strong start. Shame they’ll all be at the heinous new Mordor.

scatteredscreens
I didn't see any mention of any gross bitcoin/cyrpto companies on the Depeche Mode announcement. I think if I want to return to this festival they'll have to get rid of it, or at least lower the level of corporate involvement.

FKA SOSOTWS
Depeche Mode at PS is an insane booking. Especially given how expensive their stand-alone shows are nowadays.
Dales
An amazing booking. Earlier June is always bad for me work wise, so I dont really pay much attention to what is going on with Primavera. However DM that is something special. I will have plenty to think about over the next few days.

I think it's a good get given they're not playing other tests but come 2024 they'll likely be playing loads of festivals again.
Whos3000_
People don’t seem very excited but I agree this is a very good booking. Huge name, can’t go wrong, and plenty of space to build on with fresher faces. Bjork, pulp and that’s it with legacy acts imo. We will get poppier stuff to balance them

Guy Incognito
They have confirmed that there's gonna be "small differences" between the Madrid and Barcelona line ups but that largely they'll be the same.

xxialac
Depeche Mode is a cool booking. Whenever I travel to Eastern Europe, I leave with the impression they're the biggest band in the history of music.
BenG92
My Mrs. can no longer do Download so I'm half tempted to sack that off and go solo to PS instead. Half tempted.
diogozsz
I think both Rosalía and Bad Bunny will do this. I know somebody who works for a South American festival and they confirmed Rosalía would be doing festivals next year + Bad Bunny said on a podcast some weeks ago that he wanted to play shows in Portugal in Spain.

But those fests will likely not have the same well-rounded lineup of Primavera.

As a first timer 2022 was quite stressful and overwhelming at times. I'd like to return but it needs to show improvement. I do feel like I unfortunately missed the boat on the glory days of the festival I'd heard so much about because it fell well below expectations for me. They sold a hell of a lot of tickets and then didn’t put enough stuff on across the bridge which was a pain to get to for most people, which meant too many people on the other side. They need to sell fewer tickets (no chance) or programme more stuff in Bits to spread the crowd out across the two halves. Oh and go back to having two opposing stages at Mordor which worked well (no chance).

Not saying it can't/isn't a good time for some people but it sounds much better. The walk to bits was miserable, area seemed like an after thought. I won't labour too much on the negatives though, it's in the past now, let's hope it's better for all the folks going in 2023.

Wait really? Both of them? If so, that is instantly very very tempting to get tickets, especially in the case of Bad Bunny potentially being there! Especially with it not looking likely to be getting UK shows from him any time soon
