I didn't see any mention of any gross bitcoin/cyrpto companies on the Depeche Mode announcement. I think if I want to return to this festival they'll have to get rid of it, or at least lower the level of corporate involvement.

Genie is out of the bottle now unfortunately…

Depeche Mode at PS is an insane booking. Especially given how expensive their stand-alone shows are nowadays.

Is it really though? I saw them at Mad Cool 2018 and they were at a lot of festivals that year. I think it's a good get given they're not playing other tests but come 2024 they'll likely be playing loads of festivals again.

People don’t  seem very excited but I agree this is a very good booking. Huge name, can’t go wrong, and plenty of space to build on with fresher faces.
Bjork, pulp and that’s it with legacy acts imo. We will get poppier stuff to balance them

I've seen almost only positive comments🤷🏻‍♂️

More fests in 2024 are certainly possible. But those fests will likely not have the same well-rounded lineup of Primavera.

Sure.

I just hope the management of the festival improves. As a first timer 2022 was quite stressful and overwhelming at times. I'd like to return but it needs to show improvement. I do feel like I unfortunately missed the boat on the glory days of the festival I'd heard so much about because it fell well below expectations for me.

They sold a hell of a lot of tickets and then didn’t put enough stuff on across the bridge which was a pain to get to for most people, which meant too many people on the other side.

They need to sell fewer tickets (no chance) or programme more stuff in Bits to spread the crowd out across the two halves.

Oh and go back to having two opposing stages at Mordor which worked well (no chance).

Yeah it's a shame I won't be able to experience the festival as it used to be. Not saying it can't/isn't a good time for some people but it sounds much better. The walk to bits was miserable, area seemed like an after thought.

I won't labour too much on the negatives though, it's in the past now, let's hope it's better for all the folks going in 2023.

I think both Rosalía and Bad Bunny will do this. I know somebody who works for a South American festival and they confirmed Rosalía would be doing festivals next year + Bad Bunny said on a podcast some weeks ago that he wanted to play shows in Portugal in Spain.

Wait really? Both of them? If so, that is instantly very very tempting to get tickets, especially in the case of Bad Bunny potentially being there!

If they can book Bad Bunny the festival will 101% sell out I'm sure

Oh certainly, he was the main reason I had booked tickets for 2020 and rolled over to 2021! Especially with it not looking likely to be getting UK shows from him any time soon
