Latest GFS run(06Z):

Wed: Light rain to start, heavier rain in afternoon(not catastrophic), clearing later in the evening. Max temp 21

Thu: Light rain on and off all day, clearing in evening. Max temp 20

Fri: Pretty much NO RAIN. Max temp 22

Sat: No rain all day apart from VERY light rain in afternoon. Max temp 22

Sun: NO RAIN. Max temp 26

06z is a good run. Little smatterings of rain but nothing to be concerned about. Temps pretty decent low 20s, up to mids on SUNday.

The 6z GFS is out and is looking better for the end of the festival, but still rain for the beginning.  It’s keen on bringing some rain in from the S/SW on Wed/Thursday/Fri.    But now builds pressure quickly to our south and then over the U.K., getting rid of the low pressure and threat of rain.  And gives us a mostly dry weekend.
The GFS is flipping all over the place, so way too far away for reliability at this stage…but it’s a hopeful development…

ECMWF is up to Wednesday 00:00 now and still looking good... No rain Wednesday, (early hours for the queue squad) that low is being pushed up the west side of the British isles, and temps in the low 20s. 

 

Definitely a knife edge though...

These could bring some more widespread rain at times

BBC saying Pilton a bit dodgy Weds Thurs but Fri Sat are lovely.

But their forecasting of late has been shhhhhhheeeeite.

Still warm though so any raid drying up quickly if that is what happens.

Yes definitely a knife edge. That latest run has taken the high pressure further north away from us. We’ve been relying on that, and so have the MetO with their mostly dry forecast.  The Countryfile forecast later will be interesting…

Looking back at Gas weather from last year, even days before, rain was predicted all day Wed- it certainly didn't rain.  I'm hoping for sans washout. Whatever happens, We're gonna have a good time 😄
