This isn't a downgrade.

There is no rain at all on the Glasto site on Thursday.

And Wednesday is near identical (latest on the right) with both showing 0.5mm - if anything.

I don’t know, there’s a lot more rain around especially on the Thursday and close to the site. Hence using the word ‘chance’ of more rain. More rain around and close by, even though not actually on the site, is a downgrade to me.

Still leaving walking boots in car though!

It's not raining at Glastonbury on this forecast. It's as simple as that!

Not counting it as a downgrade if it stays dry on both runs!

12Z - Dry day

18Z - Dry day

No change in either run.

The rain around the UK on the Thursday is more threatening, whether they place it on the site or not. Therefore I see it as a downgrade on the previous run which looked less threatening.

There is NO rain around on Weds or Thursday in this run, only cloud or less than a mm of drizzle, @briddj is totally right. Even if the cloud were over Pilton, it's still not rain...

And looks like you get your wish, no rain within 200 miles, haha

Fair enough. Just seeing more rain over the UK from previous runs makes me nervous the low is building in. That’s irrelevant now anyway because the 00Z is superb.

We're getting very close now! This is what the 00Z has to tell us...

MONDAY & TUESDAY

Completely dry today, and then the threat of some heavy rain between 3am and 6am on Tuesday.

But there is now essentially NO RAIN during the day on Tuesday, which effectively gives a whole day of drying for any rain that comes.

In the previous run the rain came in the morning, now it's overnight - and that makes a marked difference for the effect on the site and the drying conditions - with Tuesday being 21 degrees.

Even if the overnight rain into Tuesday is heavy, the dry site and the drying Tuesday would mean there should be nothing to worry about.

WEDNESDAY

Completely dry for gates open, temps of 19.

image.thumb.png.c1d92435c6658076538431aeea5a629c.png

During the day on Wednesday there is, as in recent runs, the threat of 0.5mm of rain. That is so small that even if it comes to pass it would be like walking past a sprinkler system.

Temps of 21-22.

Temps overnight into Thursday: 13-14

THURSDAY

Completely dry, highs of 22-23.

Temps overnight into Friday: 12-14

image.thumb.png.c733c90ed310cd7b1719275fb19b7d82.png

FRIDAY

Completely dry, highs of 22-23

Temps overnight into Saturday: 13-14

image.thumb.png.5ea2250d7a280a0da0ee3109d5682b47.png

SATURDAY

Completely dry, highs of 24-25.

Temps overnight into Sunday: 13-15

image.thumb.png.08a447e9dff9b03766b976b21e16490f.png

SUNDAY

Completely dry, highs of 25-26

Still 22-23 for Elton.

Temps overnight into Monday: 15

SUMMARY

With the possible heavy rain now arriving in the early hours of Monday this is a small UPGRADE - given the whole of Tuesday for drying.

By Saturday now the position of the build of the high pressure is almost identical between the two runs.

We're nearly there, people! Fingertastic!
