Parking at bath and west showground

Hey guys,

We live nearby, only 15 minutes from Shelton mallet and my wife is pregnant so she doesn’t really fancy camping understandably.

I’ve seen that there’s shuttle busses to and from bath and west showground, does anyone know if we can park there and shuttle in and out again?As I know how big the on-site car parks are so could end up being a very long walk if we use them.

Pretty sure the official answer would be "no" it's a drop off/collect point only, however there's loads of space there and I'm sure some of the staff working there will be parked up, there's also no time limit if you are parked and waiting for someone coming from the festival so there will be cars waiting for some time, best bet is to go and explain to a steward and hope they are willing to sort out a space for you, having said all that the trek up to Gate A each night is a bit of a chore (I stayed at B&W one year) and it's likely to take you up to an hour each way to get through the gate and get on the shuttle and back to B&W, also means you can't drink which would be a deal breaker for me, If it were me I'd camp, less effort overall.

Is the Festival bus service to Shepton (stops outside Tesco) not suitable?
