The Long Road Festival 2022

I went (volunteering with Oxfam) in 2019. The Festival is actually run by (a division of) Universal Music Group and in some respects it felt like it was created more to promote their artists and their country music TV channel than to exist as an event in its own right.

That being said, it's a nice setup for what it is - the site works well, and the event was fairly relaxed overall. They've put some effort/investment into the theming and branding - the Honky Tonk venue especially is very well done. It is an Arena setup, and they were quite strict on not being able to take alcohol in.

The only thing that'd prevent me going back is I found the country music overload a bit much for my tastes - beforehand, I figured that while Country isn't my favourite genre, I don't mind a bit of it sometimes - but when that's the only thing on the agenda it quickly became a bit too samey for me.
