While personally I would love QOTSA to headline the other against AM that wouldn't happen as they are too similar.

QOTSA was a huge influence on AM, Josh Homme produced one of their albums and the AM drummer worked with Homme on an Iggy Pop album (which is really good btw)

Aye Queens will either but under AM or against Elton.

I’ve said it before on here, so I will say it again now, I will, under no circumstances, accept or pay any attention to any stage prediction that clashes Prodigy and Elton. Just stop it. Now. The build up is fraught enough.

i hope the prodigy will be against AM but Lizzo, QOTSA, Sam Smith probably won't be against Elton John so it's not looking good for the prodigy. Maybe another other headliner will emerge from the shadows, someone we've not considered and take the Sunday slot

I'd take that, only gripe would be LDR subbing Other. She'd be a Pyramid sub.

Yeh this stood out for me

I've also said it a couple of times now but Fred should be on a bigger stage than West holts especially if he ended up against gnr

I don't think they will be against Elton

I thought it would make sense. Niche rock act vs pop act. Or do you believe Elton isn't the kind of pop act to please all vs a QOTSA? I would definitely choose Elton without a doubt but I'm not a Queens fan really. I'd never pay to go to their tour.

They won't be below GNR or opposite.

Other than that, I think a local on here believe they may play under Arctic Monkeys.

I think if so and Royal Blood went 3rd which was hinted a while back then 4th and 5th that day must be almost certainly female acts.

I think the top two will look something like:

Arctics, QOTSA

Sam Smith, Halsey

GNR, Capaldi/Lizzo

Doja Cat, Anne-Marie

Elton, Pulp

The Prodigy, The Black Keys

I would expect Capaldi/Lizzo to play either of those but I'm expecting Capaldi to play a equivalent sub slot.

Elton John is pop but he has a lot of rock songs and is on a QOTSA track. I don't think they would have two rock acts on at the same time

Why would they not be below GnR? If QOTSA were booked prior to Swift abandoning the festival they probably would have been booked as headlining the other against her. Then when Swift dropped out and they got GnRs they obviously would have to move QOTSA from other headliner to subbing the pyramid to accommodate. Possibly QOTSA may have agreed to play a different day but moving their slot is easier

GnR and QOTSA one after another on the Pyramid is very against what Glastonbury would usually do imo. I can see them under Arctics as it's more of an indie act than rock act.

Elton isn't a rock act though is he but I'll take your point about the collaboration. He doesn't put it in his shows though.

Queens are only under Arctics for me if not that Sunday slot. But I personally think Elton/The Prodigy divides a crowd more than Elton/Queens. A lot of people had to make The Prodigy/Blur choice before.

Paramore won't be playing third down - they are massive

Fair point!

Was more trying to fit in that list of possibles but probably too many big names (pyramid/other sub level) to fit in. Left out black keys for same reason.

Think it's safe to assume there will be plenty of  female artists headlining other stages  considering the all male headliners. Lewis Capaldi, Pulp, QOTSA, Prodigy, Royal Blood are all pretty strong rumours aren't they too?

Lana del rey, Lizzo, Rosalia, Yeah Yeah Yeahs seem sensible alternatives to break up that hegemony.

Black Keys could probably do 3rd down now, they really aren't that big in the UK vs abroad

The acts you listed as strong rumours are all about, think only pulp qotsa and prodigy are stronger rumours (pulp friends of fest, prodigy pulled out a few years back and qotsa were booked for cancelled festival). There's nothing on Lewis Capaldi and Royal Blood that i can think of

I doubt they are going to play anyway. They are having at least 22/23 days between Europe/America breaks on the tour. They have 18 days between their Bonnaroo date in Tennessee and their New Orleans date. Given they are having a 4 day gap just between a gig in Hollywood Florida and Bonnaroo, they only have a 5 day gap before the festival day starts. They would likely have 6/7 days here, missing the likes of Werchter for example before flying back to play a series of dates within a few hours of where they already are.

They are going to do later summer dates.

If their tour hear didn't finish late April then possibly but it's barely two months space.

Belive Royal blood are conspicuously absent from supporting Muse on their tour on one date? Friday from memory. Think like the Black Keys their star has waned a bit though too. Know they were close with Arctics, as are Qotsa, but would be a v male 1,2,3 which is why I have Qotsa before GnR
