Yeah, it's a better indication than Lana who currently has zero scheduled UK dates. I think that's what the guy was getting at. 

They're headlining smaller festivals, sure. Ones like Neighbourhood previously headed up by The Courteeners. Opposite Sam Fender at TRNSMT. Definitely nothing to suggest they couldn't sub pyramid or headline other.

maybe glasto had their lads club headline trio booked and maybe lil nas x, prodigy etc as well then pulp approached them and they just could not put more men in big slots

Yep. I don't see Lana as being a significant factor in this conversation.

Pulp are a strange one in that they could be viable as Pyramid Headliner, but equally viable in any of the afternoon-evening slots as well. They've got enough credibility built up over the years and with the Festival that if they did choose to be billed lower then it'd be accepted as them not being precious about billing, rather than the festival "insulting" them or whatever.

What may be more of a blocker is if they've got some form of exclusivity agreed - all of their shows announced to date are SJM/LN affairs so I don't know whether they're restricted to those.
