Not so much, only 14 act announcements before Chistmas and 3 of them were for 2020 which seemed to have caused a global pandemic.

Can't wait for the ball to get rolling again on announcements, lots of big ones coming up that should rule out some artists or throw new ones into the mixer.

Coachella, APE and all truck / y not / victorious etc should be exciting. Theres that final Boardmasters headliner too

Saw a coachella prediction on Reddit I thought was pretty cool, got me excited to pick apart another lineup.

So here we are in January 2023. Happy New Year.

What chance some exciting news in the next few months? 

Well... don't hold your breath. January is notoriously quiet, just 4 acts ever revealed & nothing in the way of headliners having previously been announced.

Things tend to get busier in February, a good month for headliner announcements.

Come March, there's a good chance the first poster will drop.

And then from April we should start to see the various area line-ups.

But of course, #ThereIsNoPattern. Anything could happen.

Given Elton was only announced last month, I’m not expecting a Pyramid headliner announcement until late Feb/early March. But I’d like it if a bit of the undercard was announced. It was great to have Simz get her moment last year, for example.

It feels really soon as well, after a gap of three years before the last one. Trying to relish that as such a big gap is unlikely to happen again any time soon.

This week yes unless they have had a drama and don’t have their headliners locked in. I’ve looked at a few forums and it doesn’t look like there’s anything “yet” to suggest it isn’t coming. Once Coachella’s social media platforms get going we can expect it to be imminent.

It could come tonight California time… so we could wake up with it in the morning. 

Looks like the most solid rumours are Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, BLACKPINK, Rosalia, Skrillex, The Kid Laroi,  Kali Uchis, Justice. Third headliner not clear and there will be tonnes of other big names in there. I reckon Lil Nas X will be on the bill, as well as Olivia Rodrigo.

Just checked - today is a public holiday but I think they’ve dropped it on a public holiday before.
