There are probably 14 specific announcements that they could do if they wanted though. Last year - Silver Hayes, Avalon, Arcadia, Theatre & Circus, The Park, West Holts, Leftfield, Shangri-La, The Glade, Acoustic, Kidz Field, John Peel - all announced before the full lineup and timings (which is likely only 10 weeks away). So they could easily squeeze in one a week between now and the end of May.

As well as balance payment and resale.
Gnomicide
Since they went onto the posters, this is the earliest by 4 weeks (Kidzfield 12/04/11). There was a Silver Hayes announcement in Feb 13 when they re-branded the Dance Village but that was just 9 names and no poster. There's been a few announcements on 7th April - Avalon & Jazzworld in 2000 (limited number of acts) and West Holts in 2010 (all acts but no poster). DareToDibble
Really hoping those 3 headliners are just listed alphabetically and not by day. Would be a shame to miss Rudimental if they clash with Elton.
ProperTea
Am I the only person who looks forward to the new map more than area posters? 🤣

Rudimental has a very “nobody wants to go up against elton” vibe to it which, to be fair, is accurate. if you saw the size of the crowd for roisin last year up against macca…. Sunday headliner on any stage will be the slot nobody wants Edited March 14, 2023 by Memory Man

CaledonianGonzo
But I thought they always booked much bigger than average acts up against the megastars so as to split the crowd?
Gnomicide
Now we're up and running with the individual area announcements, what can we expect? In 2022, between the 1st poster on 4th March and the full line-up released on 30th May, 17 areas got an announcement from the official Glastonbury accounts/website. They started on 12th April with Avalon, there was then nothing further until 22nd April, then it got busy... A new area announcement appeared on average every 2.33 days. Friday was the most common day with 5 areas published, none came out at weekends. Mon: 2 Tue: 4 Wed: 4 Thu: 2 Fri: 5 In addition to the 17 areas confirmed by the festival, a further 8 smaller areas made their own announcements. After the full line-up was revealed, 9 stages that were included in it were given their own poster.

Not if their agents flat out refuse to take the slot. See also: rolling stones, macca and ultimately elton this year

As someone else pointed out, maybe she was always supposed to be on the second line but that got messed up by whatever’s happening with the Sunday Other headliner.
