Other than a reliable ex poster on here who has a track record of having the juice saying its Shania.

We'll just have to wait and see.

We will. I'd also far prefer Cher, but am resigned to it not being her year.

Based on one ex poster?  Not being funny, Neil has had a track record of having the juice and he told us it was Roxy Music last year.   For me, these days, until it's confirmed or ruled out by other confirmed dates they are still in the game.

What happened there with Roxy Music? Any chance of it happening at all in the future?

Remind me, do they always incorporate the term "legend" in the description of that slot? Legend slot? Sunday Teatime slot? Sunday Legend slot? Sunday Teatime Legend slot? Probably a question for the team at Thingy HQ.

Diana Ross was the first officially labelled as Legends Slot. The festival always called it The Sunday Teatime Slot up until that point.

Which was changed due to the lack of anyone drinking tea.

Apart from these "day bag" types who carry flasks and mugs and UHT milk with them.

I thought people ate tea at that time on a Sunday, which always seemed strange to me as a Southerner who only drinks it.

I’d read somewhere the band had second thoughts on doing it, and I’d think it’s highly unlikely they’ll be there anytime soon, their 2023 tour finished in October and no suggestion of more dates.

Same as an Irishman who only drinks it. I get confused at Glasto between dinner and tea. People eat dinner at lunchtime and eat tea at dinner time.

This is correct (I'm Irish).

I think that they are only officially started using the legend term very recently. Before that it was always Sunday Teatime or not named. I guess they can pick the option that most fits the booking.
