Still sticks with 21 songs like they enjoy doing. 90 minute.

You know there is others too that don't need to stay. That's a pretty poor setlist.

Forget it exists. Never really liked it tbh.

That's a big issue there, it was their most wanted to be played song by fans for a long time. Stalwart classic!

Done a setlist that I’d love to see using a simple format of 7 albums, 3 songs from each for a 21 song set:

Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not:
I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor
Still Take You Home
When The Sun Goes Down

Favourite Worst Nightmare:
Do Me A Favour
Old Yellow Bricks
505

Humbug:
Dance Little Liar
Cornerstone
Pretty Visitors

Suck It And See:
Hellcat Spangled Shalalala
Library Pictures
That’s Where You’re Wrong

AM:
Do I Wanna Know?
R U Mine?
I Wanna Be Yours

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino:
Four Out Of Five
One Point Perspective
Star Treatment

New Album:
Untitled Song 1
Untitled Song 2
Untitled Song 3

Obviously isn’t a setlist they will ever play - but I’d hope to a couple of these make an appearance in the future at some point.

With the new album tour, they must be dropping 4/5 songs from AM, as there isn’t much else they can cut from the other albums. So that’s a plus.
If the new album is a good one it could make for a great setlist to come.

Unless they play a setlist pretty much a mix of AM, Tranq, and new with 1 or 2 old songs in there.

i've just seen that am ARE PLAYING outdoors in  a roman arena in croatia this summer, it looks a fantastic venue. if i was a fan i'd try to go.

I watched David Gilmour there in 2015 and it was amazing. I feel like they started using it more than before. I highly recommend the place

Nope it isn't, and that is a good thing. Deserves to be way more from their debut.

good cause it's absolutely butchered by them these days. I would drop Dancefllor too tbh.

Only first album song they do well is View from the Afternoon imo.

They only do like 2 songs from it anyway, quite hard to say when most haven't been played for 10 years. When the sun goes down at a festival would be pretty hard to butcher - and as someone else said Ritz was good in 2018

Still take you home

A certain romance

If you exclude: Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Michael Franti, Kate Bush, Kae Tempest and scores of others who I can't think of at the moment.

I'd have him above the majority of those, personally. Paul Simon and Bob Dylan are the only ones I'd have above him really. It's all subjective of course. His range of lyrics and writing style is completely different to others who are considered the best. Pure poetry.

Nick Cave and Kae Tempest don't even come close - my opinion of course. Appreciate them both for their artistry and I suppose it's because I can't stand their voices or delivery, either.

I wouldn’t go that far personally, but it’s a great album. Solid 8/10.

I don’t understand the hate it gets on here!

Yeah me neither, and all I can really think of is that it’s become mega popular and brought them a whole wave of new laddy fans and so people have turned on it. It’s a great album. Couple of not so great songs, like literally all of their albums, but it’s mostly very good and has some of their best material.

Tbh Arctics are one of very few bands who’s albums I really struggle to rank as I think they’re all equally great with equal amounts of highs and filler/lows, and each of them could end up on top or at the bottom of my ranked list depending on what mood I’m in. Just a consistently good band, thus far.

As I said further up I just don't find it particularly interesting. Everything from I Want It All onwards sounds dull and uninspired to me, they've done far more interesting work, both musically and lyrically on every other album IMO.

And yes, it annoys me that they dedicate so much of their setlist to it!

From the ritz to the rubble was brilliant live on the last tour especially at TRNSMT 18, should be played a lot more

I forgot it was in the encore at Trnsmt 18, absolutely blew my head off when they played it, one of the loudest crowds I've ever been in as well, that set was an all timer for me.

I think my ‘dislike’ for AM comes from the fact that it dominates their setlist (understandably so given it’s relatively recent release discounting TBH&C) and therefore it has taken away lots of earlier songs from their setlist. Playing Kneesocks/Arabella/One For The Road instead of WTSGD for example.

I think it’s the work they are most proud of as a band, and will always dominate their sets I think. Which is fine, but I think that makes me have negative feelings towards it.
