NorthernSoul52 Posted yesterday at 09:40 AM Author Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:40 AM I remember them being on one of the tours, but that's all, I must admit.

NorthernSoul52 Posted yesterday at 09:55 AM Author Report Share Posted yesterday at 09:55 AM But not one you'd probably want dropped into a Glastonbury headline set, to be fair. Will say that I expect a few I've picked - namely TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME, A Change of Heart and Me & You Together Song to likely miss the cut. Reckon they could throw a couple of "relative" curveballs in there.

NorthernSoul52 Posted yesterday at 01:33 PM Author Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:33 PM Mmmmm. Think my setlist from the top is as neutral-friendly as you'd get, save maybe the absence of Girls.

Andre91 Posted yesterday at 07:32 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:32 PM Had a go at putting a setlist together. It isn’t too dissimilar to @NorthernSoul52’s from the other day but I’ve got a few different songs in there and a different order: 1. If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know) 2. Looking For Somebody (To Love) 3. Happiness 4. Me & You Together Song 5. TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME 6. She’s American 7. Oh Caroline 8. A Change of Heart 9. It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You) 10. Robbers 11. I’m In Love With You 12. Somebody Else 13. Be My Mistake 14. I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes) 15. Love It If We Made It 16. Love Me 17. Girls 18. About You 19. Give Yourself A Try 20. Chocolate 21. Sex 22. The Sound I kept toying with the idea of ‘Will the bust out Antichrist?’ I feel like they have to open with If You’re Too Shy. It would just be so perfect.

Think all of your fresh inclusions are up my street bar the combo of Be My Mistake and I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes), but that's the old subjectivity talking. Would be delighted with Looking for Somebody (To Love) and She's American in there. I just have this disarming sense they'll keep it tight to the ninety minutes, no encores, and wrap at eighteen or nineteen songs. Think you've lost The City from mine and that's it? I was going to lose Love Me too, tbh.

Love Me is fascinating, because it is very intermittent live, as I'm sure you know these days. But its peacocking rubber funk would just be such an obvious slam dunk. Conversely, think A Change of Heart is honestly borderline, though it would be a wonderful early slow-burner.
Baggieboy
Is Matty still friends with Swifty? The band could bring her on as guest artist. She’s done it before and she’s a huge fan of the band. That would be a special Glastonbury moment nobody would ever forget. Make it happen. They could even do a duet of The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
NorthernSoul52
I... heavily doubt they are still close friends, by any stretch. Though I do wonder if Fortnight, with its very 1975-esque sounds, was originally demoed pre-lyrics as a potential duet option.

It could work like the O2 show. The 1975 go off after the main set and she wonders on with a guitar and does a 1975 cover followed by The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived. The end of the song is the que for Matty to come back onstage.
NorthernSoul52
I mean, to be fair, if it turns out they still are on good terms, it would be an immaculate banter spot to have the biggest artist in the world cameo midway through a Glastonbury headline gig she once had and never fulfilled.
