I received one of those ground seats today as recommended on here. Will be easy to take to the circus but I d9 wish Id spent more to get a thicker one.

can anyone recomend an actual chair to carry about? My chemo will be coming to an end that week and Im under no i,kuduons this will be a very different festival for me. Hence needing a seat I can carry. My aim is to have very very easy days and hopefully ill be fine on a night. The steroids keep me up all night generally.

I once went not too long after an operation and carried this chair around with me

I see it's not available there anymore, but if you can find it I recommend. It's pretty small, but is much easier to carry round than a regular camping chair. It's super strong, and really handy for sitting when needed. It certainly saved me that year!

Bought a new rain poncho this evening. I'm trying to only buy practical things because I have to fly there and back, but also, I just don't want to keep wasting money and only using stuff a couple of times. I've had those little plastic bag type ponchos before and they've always ended up in a bin after just one festival, so hopefully this will be more useful, and I can keep it on me when I commute to work or go for long walks.

I have to ask, and I'm genuinely baffled, why not just buy a decent waterproof lightweight walking coat?

Poncho's should be left in Vietnam War Film's. None breathable, barely waterproof sweaty barbers chair meehhh

Sorted the garage out over the past few days with multiple charity shop and tip runs.

In doing so we’ve made space for our Glasto pile, which so far consists of rucksacks, a couple of head torches and wellies.

Also unearthed a load of old Glasto memorabilia and this from my first ever festival…..

not cheap, but easy to carry around and more comfortable than the chairs with a lower back. I’m sure there’s probably see cheaper versions.

You don’t need waterproof trousers and they’re great for putting on over top of fancy dress and/or a backpack

Test pack for the flight over.
Everything seems to fit and I'm well under the weight limit.
And I think I'll be able to carry/haul/drag everything from Ped A to Ped B/TF.
Maybe I can find someone to lend me their trolley for an hour or two once they're done with it.

As others have said, it's big enough to go over a backpack, as well as doubling up to cover me when I cycle to work. I really despise rain trousers and putting them on suddenly caught in a shower is very unappealing.
