nikkic
Got a load of sh*t sorted the past few days. My brother is getting married next weekend so it pretty much rules out any Glasto packing. So this weekend we’ve…. - Charged the battery packs - Bought our booze - Dusted off the camping gear and added it to “the pile” - Packed our clothes - Ordered a new rain jacket (which won’t be needed) - Seen a man about a dog Not much to do now really, apart from the skittles vodka which I’ll start tomorrow

MEGATRONICMEATWAGON
Brought this guy home today. Plunged for the three man in the end because when I compared it in the shop, it's only an extra 20 Euro, but you get way more space and the actual carry bag is barely any bigger or heavier, like 5cm wider and 500g heavier - but still a good 20cm smaller than my old pop up tent from circa 2010. Lighter too.

Only problem is once you open the ‘door’ you’re straight out into the field, there is no porch protection. In case of rain we bought an add-on that acts as a porch area to protect the bedroom from any rain and gives us chance to take off any wet gear before getting inside the tent proper. Not that there will be any rain or mud this year!
Phoenix Girl
Absolutely nothing unfortunately. I am in serious trouble - stress packing imminent. Although my pineapple tequila and barrel aged negronis have been brewing for a while - both of which are solely for giving out to friends 🙄

After reading about it on here ad nauseam for the last decade, I'm kinda hoping that when I open it up after a night in the SEC, I just step into a quasi-black hole and I disappear into nothingness. Not that there will be any rain or mud this year! Seriously though, I'm really happy to have purchased it. Smaller, lighter than my current one which means putting it on the plane won't be a problem. My current tent also doesn't have a porch really and I always just get ready in the tent bar my shoes and only open the door enough to stick my feet out to do the laces up and then it's a mad dash to get out before any rain comes in, hahaha. I'm gonna have a looky for an extension though now - didn't even know they were available!
4AssedMonkey
Apart from actually packing I think we’re sorted. Will start chilling the coolbox this weekend and freezing some water/capri suns/ciders. Need the forecast to resolve itself a bit to help with what to pack clothes wise. Tickets arrived this morning. Postie “Off to Glastonbury again? I think you’re mad!” He’s a top bloke.
woyski
Sweet f**k all, but popping in here to get my arse in gear! Just booked a haircut which is much needed before I go. I second that I feel non-committal about starting the clothes pack until I know what the weather is likely to do - in terms of footwear I'm considering buying new wellies as mine have seen better days, and I know you'll all encourage the purchase to ensure a dry week! We got a brand new tent but should get it out and give it a test run first. Food and drink wise we're pretty much there, so probably less to do than I think but I still have that feeling that I'm really behind. First time we're doing coach package so feels odd not to have the ticket in my hands yet!

The cooling element is great for me as I run hot. Last year we slept in til 10am most days, popped into a mates tent around the same time and it was so humid in there I wouldn’t have been able to sleep in that! You've pretty much nailed two of my requirements at home. I'm not too bad sleeping in a tent, done it so much, but having it cool inside (I also run warm) and pitch black will hopefully let me sleep in longer. One of my biggest problems is that when I'm awake, I'm awake, and I have to get up and do something. Hopefully with this tent, I'll be able to push through and keep on sleeping.
