Victorious Festival 2023 Discussion

We were going to book our tickets today (our group of four that is) but we are waiting to see who the main headliner is. Victorious with camping is hard work so there has to be good acts for us to go, especially at £180 + fees each.

complete opposite end of summer but does seem about right otherwise lol

Agreed, wrong time for them to tour and then comeback for Victorious.

Actually wondering now what the delay is with the final header.  Sure we normally get another announcement mid March so maybe it’ll just come then

Victorious does 3 announcements, last year on the full days we had 25/26 names on poster including comedy. I think at the end of March we get a further 12-14 acts announced including the sunday headliner......which im starting to think, its someone who a going to shock or surprise us all.

Foo Fighters did it so it's not completely out of the question (sure they did it the last time they did R&L actually), but they're probably the exception to the rule on that. Would be more convinced if it was a UK act.

coming over for 2 shows at R&L who pay heaps will be far more cost friendly than just 1 show at Victorious (where a good amount of the money will go on overhead costs of coming over). could be other stuff to of course

KOL would be ace. I do think they need a name of that calibre as Jamiroqui and new Kasabian are hardly the most exciting set of headliners and I am a big Kasabian fan. I guess it might be wishful thinking but hoping they have a surprise big name for us but will not be surprised if it turns out to be someone who do smaller mid level festivals.

I think its the shear size of the festival that makes you think it should have bigger named headliners but obviously its more complex then that and tied to ticket prices etc. I went to Truck last year for the first time (cracking little festival) and it seems so strange that they often seem to have the same headliners as a huge festival like Victorious.

Wynchwood announce their last headliner at 6 today. Maybe its them?😄

Potential Headliners

Paul Weller - Potential - not sure why he wouldn't have already been announced though.

Richard Ashcroft - Potential - not sure why he wouldn't have already been announced though.

Jamie T - Potential - makes sense not to announce yet due to poor tickets sales of Finsbury park.

Prodigy - Potential - Originally an exclusive elsewhere but have since popped up as headliners at other festivals.

Liam Gallagher - Potential - although he's 'currently' a Boardmasters exclusive.

The 1975 - Potential - current tour dates go up to July.

Florence - Doubtful - in Paris the night before.

Kings of Leon - Doubtful - UK and Europe earlier in the summer.

Wolf Alice - Doubtful - Not touring currently.

The Strokes - Not Available - Playing Paris on the Sunday night.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Not Available - in Europe but would be a 4 gig run in different countries.

Noel Gallagher - Not Available - in Ireland

The many bands at Reading and Leeds - Not Available - unless Foals or Wet Leg want to do 3 nights on the trot.

Any more to add to this?

Yeah Yeah Yeahs aren't big enough

Wolf Alice are hardly the big name to finish off the trio, nor is Richard Ashcroft or Jamie T.

not what the 2018 page says here.  I had double checked the info here before posting not to mention that 2018 was my first victorious for those 3 acts
