Aech2ElectricBoogaloo
Shame that the strokes came back with such an incredible album only to go on a disastrous festival tour, they can stay away. Do we think Muse will get a cohead this year?

BenG92
Have Muse done something to upset RW? Were they supposed to be a co-head in 2019 and did a 2.5 hour set after someone pulled out or what?

I mean, their RW 2019 set was a full headline show of similar length as other 2019 stadium gigs (I was at the London Stadium gig and that was a shade over 2hrs, though did get two songs more than Werchter). Their 2010 and 2015 slots were also as outright heads, but then given this year's had RHCP/Killers as co-heads, maybe its a change of policy. I'm sure their 2019 day sold poorly, I think it more came down to too many repeat bookings and people weren't happy greta van fleet got shoehorned in as a sub. Also, they will need a big name on top of Muse to sell out their day, last time Muse sold really poorly and their upcoming tour isnt exactly doing much better in terms of sales... Muse once was a huge name but now they have definitely peaked in terms of popularity.

I don't disagree with that - They'll certainly need a strong name next to them and a good lineup overall that day but, on paper, Muse will still be the only headliner I believe. I don't expect them to announce another band as co-head. In the same way that AM are Sunday's headliners (unfortunately) although QOTSA are the ones saving the day so far. Maybe it's just semantics. Tbf, although there are many bands that will excite me a lot more than Muse I don't see many that are available and as "big" as them to headline. Even on the day, it was still announced they gonna play 90 minutes. I was there and really upset they cut 15 minutes! On some posters, I'm pretty sure both RHCP and The Killers were on the same line. Muse will def get a co-headline.
Boss89
RHCP only played 90 minutes on their own stadium shows as well. Around 90 minutes is their average show length.

But if those actually at RW22 confirmed Killers did 75m and RHCP a 90m set, that probably is the more definitive answer to such a sequence. Nicklord
The Killers played 75 and RHCP played 95 (but they also had a few minutes pause for the encore)

Considering they didn’t sell out Hyde Park in 2015, their popularity only got bigger. They rarely tour and people have only been able to get back seeing bands this year after two. A lot of gigs are selling quick that wouldn't before.

Metallica and Greta Van Fleet were also on the same line on the official poster but they were definitely not meant to be co-heads. In 2019 TOOL and The Cure were co-headlining. The Cure were planned for 2h15' with TOOL playing after them for 1h30'. The rule usually applies but not always. I expect a strong name next to Muse (they need it indeed) but I would be very (and positively) surprised if they announce a second headliner for Saturday. I expect the opposite for Thursday, hopefully with blur.

Nicklord
The Black Keys, Disturbed and Hollywood Vampires being that low is really strange when you compare to lowercase acts of the other 2 days
Archi
Could RW announce some news at 4pm? Or maybe on Friday? They could take basically take almost all the bands on this line-up except the headliners... Obviously, Disturbed, Hollywood Vampires and I Prevail should be at Graspop. But for the rest: RW could take Electric Callboy, The Hu and Nova Twins.

I was thinking that before, if Pinkpop, Nos, Mad Cool and Sziget are all announcing things this week with a sizeable chunk of undercard; it would surely be beneficial for Werchter to show us what else is on the table? I know they’re often patient and can often afford to be due to the quality of line ups, but with so much competition and people wanting to commit before prices go up for travel etc it feels wise that they give us a batch of names soon. One thing I am thinking though, Ken said Foos might be on the table for here and Pinkpop. Obviously they aren’t playing Pinkpop now, so do we need to consider that Werchter now need another headliner?
