Sad Times

This is a shame, saw that they'd been announced for a few UK fests and was hoping they'd be there.

Their live show requires a lot of visuals and I do wonder if it just wouldn't work for some stages without it - they'd be a perfect fit for a spot on The Park.

the John Peel stage is better, as it has screens

Yeah that's exactly my point - I wonder if the requirement of having screens (and perhaps a show that would work better when darker) limits their booking potential.

Bollocks to that, whilst they do have visuals, the music is plenty good enough to stand on its own. There's just a lack of taste from the bookers.

I'd have thought the band would decide if their set-up will work once the call comes in rather than the booker making that decision and not bothering to try if the later slots are taken.

their one and only UK show!

And then they were announced for Green Man this morning.

I know Brexit is supposed to be the start of the end of the whole union but last time I checked Wales was still in the UK.

I noticed a tweet from their account now saying it's their "only UK headline show" so I guess that allows them to announce festivals.
