I’ve just realised I have a ticket to see Sam Fender in Dublin on June 25th. He’s in Belfast on the 23rd as well. I guess that means he’s extremely unlikely for Glastonbury..

He subbed this year so won't be there

Most festivals don't book the same acts two years in a row

Glasto books the same acts 3 years in a row quite often. Go check. They have a lot of stuff carry over cause they just move them up stages. There isnt as much new and unknown stuff on the main stages each year to make it diff.

This is the key for Sammy boy.

The only way “up” is to top the big one, which he isn’t doing next year.

Someone may be able to prove me wrong but I don’t think anyone has ever subbed then headlined The Pyramid on consecutive years.

This all makes sense. There’s a wee bit of wishful thinking on my behalf as I like him but seem to be cursed in terms of seeing him live. He was supposed to be my first gig back after Covid restrictions, but I got the lurgy, he pulled out of a Killers support slot (so I was left with a ticket to see The Killers), and now this.

This is a small bit better of a reason to be fair.

Foals surely out this year right? Headlined the Other stage last year and it was potentially my favourite act of the weekend. Unless they come back to headline, i cant see them there next year which is sad cos i would 100% see them again

100 percent out, where would they fit? They aren't headlining or playing below an other stage headline slot.

I suppose there is the tiniest, tiniest chance of some rando secret set or something, but seeing as they were secret set in 2019 and headlined other this year, I'd bet everything I have on them not being there next year.

Not sure where you're based, but he's got some pretty big shows next Summer and there'll undoubtedly be a load of tickets flying around nearer the time, prob your best bet.

Dublin.

Between Glastonbury and an expensive 3 night Springsteen stand and potential Rugby World Cup trips next year- all of which I’d pretty much signed up to before getting Glasto tickets I doubt I’ll be doing any more travel for gigs. Arra I’ll see him sometime.

Looks like he’ll be around for a while, so I expect you’ll have plenty of opportunity on future tours!
