Are there rumours about them doing Green Man? I didn't think they were touring at all this summer until this announcement

Oh no, I'm just praying and hoping tbh, BUUUUT I'm happy to make it a rumour to keep up my hope to see them live for once in my life at least!

The way that concert series works is each lineup alternates between different cities daily so they’re busy all 3 days of Glastonbury.

Yepz

But also no artist should be allowed to make a living and not do a tour that is more financially secure than flying to the uk to do one festival. Thats the efests hive mind.

Genuinely can't work out if you're a troll or just thick as pigshit.

I'm gonna say both.

supre meant they are an AEG act this tour, so will likely be at APE rather than LN events (who i guess glasto are kind of linked with now they have Melvin back onboard)

no idles this year.

Quote

IDLES will be playing their only UK show of the summer, as well as BRIT nominated Kojey Radical, Biig Piig, Hak Baker and Willie J Healey joining the bill for the huge Jamie T homecoming show at Finsbury Park Friday 30 June.

Is it possible no acts on an AEG tour will do Glastonbury? Because I think Taylor Swift’s current tour is AEG. in terms of both why she’s out this year and maybe also 2024…

2022 was a year I felt like I was at the Pyramid more than usual - with all these bands being ruled out, maybe 2023 is a year where I'm at Williams Green a lot.  Not mad about that.

You've maybe been spared - Williams Green ruled out

I reckon the Melvin / Live Nation link is being over-analysed, and don't think it rules out acts playing AEG events like BST or APE.

Basically - it's not really a major change. The GFL board has consistently retained a LN presence for over 20 years now - it's just that Paul Latham didn't have as high a public profile as Melvin (despite being more senior within LN:UK).

Think Beyoncé will remain a one and done. She doesn’t need to do stuff like Glastonbury anymore when she can do these massive shows and sell them out instantly, and there’s also no ‘box ticker’ reason left either. Think she’ll look at it as something she’s done and has no real reason to do a second time.

Why's she doing 3 nights at Tottenham then huh!

this would be quite the shake up!
Queens Head / Williams Green - whatever you wanna call it - is one of my favorite bits.  I think Silver Hayes kinda needs more of a revamp than this, but I guess we shall see in due time
