A mate of mine had a battery pack taken. No excuse really when it’s clearly marked. While the Oxfield is much more secure than general camping you should still exercise some caution with your belongings. Come Wednesday get anything valuable in a lockup

There's still 2500 people for Oxfam alone, there's gate security but with that amount of change over of traffic you could get someone sneaking in. And (hate to say) not everyone in the Oxfield will quite share the same values as everyone else, evictions do happen!

I have had no pings today at all on my Distill

I had one for Latitude at 4 o'clock on the dot and then 'sold outs' being added for Beautiful Days, Shambala and Boardmasters, all between half 1 and 5.

somebody also went into and stole some belongings from mine and my friends tents. Just know that even in oxfam camping there are still a few bad onions so be careful

My mate had a solar battery pack stolen from the recycling crew tent last year.  It happens… most people are honest though and it definitely feels a lot safer than general camping.

I do a lot of festivals it does seem to my eye that the battery chargers are the ones that get deliberately stolen by scum buckets

In 2019 We had people break into the Oxfam field . They thought they'd broken into the festival 🤣but you could have others breaking in who are only on the rob 😭

The oxfamer I usually share a tent with is a neat freak but thankfully (?) has his generally camping tickets so I can go back to my tactic of throwing everything all over the place in my tent.

Apparently our (charity) recycling letters are on the way. Squee! The excitement of a Shepton postmark!

Yes. Ours from the festival direct are due to be sent early June.

Even though I've been doing it years an 99.9% of the information is the same I like you do get giddy when it arrives.

The lack of tickets for Glastonbury is a bit depressing really.

Does anybody know do Oxfam often get waive through from the festival for a whole load more bodies requires and spots are released in the couple of weeks  before? Or would it just be cancellations?

They'd have known by now if they wanted more stewards unfortunately.

Yeah, the only way I could see it happening at this stage would be if another company suddenly told them they weren't able to fulfill their contract. Which seems unlikely.

I’m with you on this. Last year when we thought they asked Oxfam for more stewards it was early May. It would also need to planning to accommodate in terms of space (Oxfield expanded in 2022 vs 2019) if it was anything substantial. I think it’s a scramble for individual places at this point.

As a positive for those on here, stuff comes up for 2500 people in real life. Think of a company of that size, and what people have cropping up in any given week. A mate of mine ended up exchanging contracts on a house earlier than expected and had to drop out the week before the festival. Life gets in the way. Places will appear.

Just got my shifts through. Just in time for the lineup drop. 😁😁😁

And only one shift while the music’s on. 😁😁😁😁

And that’s on a viewing platform 😁😁😁😁😁

Ooh, sounds good. Shifts for who?

Someone on Facebook has posted about there being a lockup in the Crew camping at Pylon.

I'm guessing it would be a completely new one if so & it's not on the map I have! Has anyone heard anything on this on recent maps?

Also not sure which of our lockup crews would be staffing it - it's not the one I volunteer with!

I seem to think that one of the earlier versions of the map showed a lockup in the staff camping. They could have seen that.
It would be useful to have a lockup for staff though
