Tramlines 2023 and Hillsborough Gigs

As a 22 year old feel a little bit disappointed in this one. Aiming for a Saturday day ticket as I love Blossoms and Courteeners and live local, but definitely not a festival geared towards me.

You're also right that I've got my weekend tickets for R&L booked (although not about setting my tent on fire. I'm far too scared to camp at R&L!! - Hotel for me please).

I went to Leeds on the Sunday last year as managed to get a ticket on the day and was picking my lad up anyway from there.

I walked through the Orange Campsite (I think) and within one minute had seen a mass scrap a tent on fire and various bottles of 'liquid' flying through the air.  Was like a war zone / shanty town.  Horrendous place.  

My 17 year old is camping this year !!

Starting to do my research on some of the lower acts at Tramlines.

Come across The Mary Wallopers.  Not your usual Tramlines act but wow, brilliant.  I will certainly have these on my list to see.  Think Fontaines meets The Dubliners meets Fishermans Friends.

The Mary Wallopers are doing the rounds all over the place this year. On pretty much every non Slam Dunk festival I've got an interest in.

Anyone any idea when remaining acts will be announced ?  

Are there T'Other Stage Headliners to be announced or are they Bloc Party, Sugarbabes and one other looking at the poster ?

(Aware this is very sad) But interesting to see that the Red Stripe logo isn't on the lineup poster this year. Hopefully that means a new drinks/beer partner. The last 2 years with Red Stripe cans at most of the bars have been dreadful. I can just about stomach festival pint prices but at the very least you've got to give me an actual draft poured pint - not a warm can for £6.

Hopefully they'll have some Thornbridge taps on now that we're properly out of covid. I seem to remember they did the real ale bars in 18/19

I think both Bloc Party and Sugababes will be main stage tbh, Bloc Party fit the type of nostalgic acts that usually play main stage and Sugababes were absolutely packing out tents last year, apparently it was scary the crowd they pulled at Glasto last year, so I know its not normally the type of act that makes the Tramlines main stage but I could see T'Other stage being crazy if they were playing there.

Was a massive tent to the right hand side of the ramp down to the T'Other Stage.

Feeling pretty confident Vistas will be added soon. Just announced a UK tour with no Sheffield date and posted on social media 'they'd be [in Sheffield] later on in the year'. So tramlines set seems a good bet. No Leeds dates on the tour either and they're already confirmed for Leeds fest.

The tent was near to Open Arms before you walked down to T'other stage.

There is also the Rock n Roll Circus Gigs early September at Don Valley Bowl so could be there.
