You're making out that fans of Taylor Swift listen to her and her only! Also, this thread is evidence enough that there are plenty of Taylor fans amongst the Glasto regulars, ranging from obsessive to casual, who have a wide variety of music tastes.

To think that tens of thousands of Swifties will register for tickets, be successful, and camp out at the front of the Pyramid until she has played her set and then go home, and struggle to enjoy everything else Glasto had to offer over the course of the weekend is quite ridiculous (BTW I'm not aiming this last comment at you, but I've seen someone suggest this a few pages ago)

Also, If her Tour starts next summer then there's no reason to think that Emily's comments could mean Glasto gets her in 24 once her world tour is coming to a close.

It’s a total hunch but I’m wondering if it’s a two legged tour with stadia next summer and then Super Bowl, Coachella and all the big European festivals the year after.

It can have an impact either way. Im sure theyll cry about the system and process if it does come to that though. But nobody knows if its even happening yet. Harry Styles fans would go to the ends of the earth for him. Currently there is already an informal queue for his show on Halloween. It started yesterday despite the venue saying no early queues and such and none will be honored. Swifties would do similar. So would K pop kids.
 

Still a better value to see taylor at glasto than a solo gig and you are guaranteed to have a chance to be up close and personal on top of that. I mean the Eavii would be kinda smart to just announce her before the sale and that ensures sales are a bit stronger despite the price hike. Thats going to be the most insane thing is if some people decide to just skulk around the Pyramid from Weds and onward to make sure theyre at the front even though she couldnt perform til Saturday at the earliest. Imagine them waiting it out in either heat or rain?

So, now the album has been out a week and I've played it 1/2 times a day on average, I've put together a dream/realistic setlist.

Now going back through her setlists, she seems to play the majority of the new album, I've not done that, which is why I've put 'dream', she also hasn't played more than 20/21 tracks at a gig before, but with more albums needing to be toured I put more songs in.

This is nice and i think you're 100% spot on that she'll open with lavender haze. a long build up with 'meet me at midnight' repeating for a nice frenzy before she appears.

deffo at her own shows but maybe not at a festival. also she's had four albums out since her last UK tour in 2018

From what we've heard from interviews, her tours are heavily rehearsed, dance numbers, bands doing solos, video screens for certain songs. Reputation tour she only swapped out 1-3 songs a night ( with 1 being a guest spot if they're there) 

For her to do a brand new show, routines and everything else just for Glastonbury, just seems insane to me, which is why the lover tour was a specific ' festival ' tour, even her own shows were dubbed as it.

Her last long festival set was back in 2015 on the 1989 tour. I guess you could argue that BST isn't a proper festival but it's very heavily 1989. Even i'm shocked.

yeah, good point. I'd forgotten the 2020 gigs were just festival kinda things. I do think it'd be easier to slot in the Folklore/Evermore stuff though if the band/guest are available due to style of that music. maybe less reliant on big production/choreography etc. 

we'll see I guess. the downfall of having too many bangers I guess!

Whatever set Taylor devises I know that 20 or so of my favourites will be left out. Good job that the 20-25 that Swifty will play will also be great. The sheer volume of quality songs in Taylor's catalogue means that at least a full set of bangers will be left out.

Given that Midnights only racks up 44 minutes for the original 13 tracks I think this does free up over an hour for non-midnights material which will be great.

Personally as much as I enjoy midnight's. It's not my favourite and having half of the set being dedicated to one album, after this long would really be disappointing.
