Paul ™
😥 Double post, but also wanted to say he always made me laugh at festivals, usually very pissed and his smile was unforgettable. Such a shame Edited September 16, 2022 by Paul ™
fred quimby
Really sad news. Only met him once IRL. But always a greater contributer here. NRNC came from him I believe.

Rufus Gwertigan
Balls. I hope Debs is OK. Not seen him for years but he was always good for a laugh. I remember him helping me when I got spiked with ket. By helping I mean he gave me a pat on the head RIP Will xx
stuartbert two hats
That's so sad. As soon as I saw the topic, I feared for the worst. A lovely fella from the brief drunken time(s?) I met him at the meet and was a great contributor to the forum.

I would offer but I am really shit at things like this.
blutarsky
Sorry to hear this. He was before my time here, but I’m sure it’s a safe assumption that if someone is an eFests member then there’s a 95% chance you’re going to have a fair few things in common with them (even Barry). Sounds like WoW was one of the good guys.

Sawdusty surfer
Sad to hear. I'm sure that he always used to be spot on with his weather predictions on here.
nicktrow
William was not only a prolific poster here back in the day, but also a quality one. If a thread had a comment by William of Walworth in it, then it was a thread worth reading. 2

timespeedsup
Heard yesterday, glad to see there's a thread for him. He was a well-informed poster, not least about the weather. Was looking forward to bumping into him at the last fest of the season next weekend, which means the last time I did was at a Glasto info stand where he and Debs were regular workers. RIP William.
Brave Sir Robin
RIP an eFests legend. Enjoyed his weather posts, and this charming (if unexciting) write-up of Glasto 2000 (he saw Gong over Bowie and didn’t regret it), with a prescient note at the end about the future of the festival: https://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/glastonbury/2000/review-fest1.shtml 1

Martin Ashford
I had a terrible shock yesterday afternoon when I saw a post on Facebook. I usually bumped into William at various festivals and occasional real ale pub binges (with Deb). He was in poor shape at Bearded Theory (one of his faves - I don't think he missed any of them at all) and I had a call from him on Sunday evening at Glastonbury offering to get me into the Circus Fields Crew Bar. Getting into crew bars was always a top priority for William. That was the last time I saw him. I for one will miss his company immensely. I really think Bearded should have a little memorial for him next year.
