I think people are still in vast denial of what the festival is anymore. This ship has long since sailed.

 

Next year we will get headlining names like  - 

Lewis Capaldi, Dave, Olivia Rodrigo, Lizzo, D-Block Europe, Wizkid, Aitch, Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Sza, Dua Lipa, Jorja Smith, 1975 etc

 

I can seriously see it being

Lizzo - Harry Styles - The Weeknd

Olivia Rodrigo - Lewis Capaldi - Aitch

I'd argue that Harry Styles and The Weeknd are bigger than the festival, and that FR wouldn't be prepared to pay the fees that they demand. Also seems very likely that Harry will be dipping under the radar for a bit and having a break.

Likewise, was well up for it otherwise, but can't justify Drake/Travis/Kendrick etc prices on him. Will be interested to see how well it sells at that price point, think I'm gonna hold out til nearer November and hopefully get some cheap resale tickets.

I think you'll be very lucky next year to not have Yungblud headlining second stage. I also think he'll be at Glastonbury as well but as we saw with Lewis Capaldi, he was at Reading and 3rd down Pyramid. Given the sales this year though and the crowd Capaldi got they might not let it happen again.

Can't see Playboi Carti and Travis Scott both headlining, as said one of those is going to be an indie band, Reading don't pride themselves in having multiple rap etc headliners. 

O-Rod likely will be but she won't be headlining it so can sub Reading.

I think you're over estimating. Rodrigo is not going to just sell out the likes of Finsbury and bigger right now. She'll play arena's. Multiple people on here call MSW subbing anyway.

If she was subbing MSE she would be 3rd down, I'd never put her subbing MSE. 

Yes she can do 4-5 arenas but she's not headlining MSE yet, she's done smaller academies and will move up yet. But she's not Billie, Fender or The Killers size. Two of them could do and one of them did multiple stadiums and even Fender did Finsbury. She's not Capaldi size or Imagine Dragons yet, but she's gor the scope to be.

Wait until she does arenas first and sells them well. She only played Glastonbury last time, personally I think she'll take lower than people feel but will play more places.
