Whilst they might not get anyone noteworthy, there is beer to sell and burgers to flip earlier in the day.  Starting the music at 18:00 with 1 support, on a Saturday, means missed $$ for the organiser.  There will be more, but unlikely to be amazing.

Any rumours for who we're expecting to join Pulp and Wet Leg on the Saturday yet? Strange that The 1975 date has a fleshed out lineup but the Pulp one doesn't.

They were meant to do it in 2021 and it had a full day of support. Bigger support acts won't be starting till later

Nine days off, still no sniff of stage times for Pulp (just "doors at 4pm), or any confirmation from Festival Republic of any support beyond Wet Leg (I think Baxter Dury's been confirmed elsewhere?).

Yeah really confused by this, making the doors 3pm but not a sniff of who is actually playing? Wet Leg announced when the gig was, Baxter Dury never actually officially announced at all just from that link above, really odd

The silence on support acts is strange, especially with the new gate time.

Do these events at Finsbury Park usually have a first come first served golden circle? I know there wasn’t tiered ticket prices.

Anyone know what the pit situation is normally like for these finsbury park gigs? Wristbands given out on a first come first serve basis, or a free for all? There isn't a golden circle for people who have paid more, as far as I understand

At Community festival last year it was similar to R+L, an open front pit with gates that would be locked if capacity was reached.

Absolutely not new news, but it's striking how very little all the big festival/concert organisers care about fans, isn't it?

Four days off. A band who were at their commercial peak in the mid-1990s so I'll bet there are a LOT of mums and dads going, and trying to plan the day.

Not that any of the execs read this stuff or even care, but I'm *more* inclined to plan to rock up early and spend money when I know what the hell is going on, beyond "doors at 3pm".

There is no info for 1975 or Jamie T days either. Wondering if they have secretly done away with the second stage to save money. Festival Republic and Ticketmaster sites both say more bands to be announced for 1975 - talk about leaving it late.
