No worries 😅 Always makes me giggle when places call themselves the 'World' something. I used to work in a city in Germany with maybe 500k people there and they called one shopping/business centre the World Trade Centre. There were about twenty firms there and they were all German. There was nothing international or special about it.

Obviously 1975 cannot shift tickets to the degree that Taylor Swift can - nobody does - but the main point, that they they're ready to headline Glastonbury, is still very valid. 

Plus, I'd very much enjoy seeing them really smash the set out the park after watching AM utterly stink the place out this year. Im still salty about that set months later - proper crap (and im a fan).

Fully agreed. I'm not a The 1975 fan by any stretch but they deserve a shot and like you say, Arctics for the most part was shite.

Of course she's a bigger ticket seller. The 1975 deserve it, I think they are pants but that's my view that doesn't take away from them being ready.

Nooo, he was quoting a post initially which said something along the lines of 'The 1975 sell tickets faster than Taylor Swift' - think Gfa's post has been misunderstood.

Yeah, agree. I like the band a lot, they certainly deserve a shot at headlining, and I honestly think they will smash it if/when they do it. Think the main risk is Matty and the baggage that comes along with him, and his controversies.

Following the Billie route of successful first Other Stage and then massive second album to propel to the big slot.

Young female headliner + I'd argue her second album is having a bigger initial impact than Happier Than Ever. Note the mentions of Glasto in all her interviews recently as well.

I think she may be subbing, but there's reason enough there to put her at the top

Defo headlining if she's there. I just think that's a break between closing out the Europe leg of the tour to relax before heading back to North America.

Remember watching this matty thing last month and their tour guy who does a lot of the videography and photos said the tour was on till june 2024, plans must of changed as the dates they've announced are the last

Shes playing Dublin in April, on a Tuesday. 

Shes 100% headlining if she plays. Shes even the first celeb you can follow on the new Whatsapp "channel" which was announced at the same time as her tour.
