The 1975, Taylor Swift & Madonna.

The other stage would need to be very strong. That's way too poppy for my liking and I'm sure for plenty others too. I can hear the screaming teens already. Hahaha

Get The Prodigy and a class Rock band on the other stage and I'd be fine.

Don't think he'll have new material out by next year, I reckon he's nailed ok for when his next album/tour cycle comes around though.

He put out a pre-order for his new album recently, so I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t release sometime this year.

if that wasn’t a 2024 hint from Dave then it will certainly be taken as one by enough people to make tickets even worse than usual 😑

What did he say? I was very much seeing their set this year as a confirmation that they wouldn’t be playing next year tbh.

Totally agree, I took that as a hint as well. We already knew they were touring next year. but it seemed more that just see you at wembley

I hoped so too but as said above it sounded pretty pointed. Three appearances in seven years would be a lot for a band of that size though.

I took it more as a 'see you next year on our tour' than a 'see you next year at Glastonbury'

Yeah I’m very much in this lane. Granted, I’m sure they’d love to, but I very much think this secret set was a middle ground they reached upon being told no to headlining again any time soon.

Lizzo played west holts in 2019. You guys like rap that much? She plays an american festival right now theres probably 50,000 people watching her. She plays glasto its way less. Gottaa consider demographics.

In theory, yes, but I guess tomorrow we shall see one way or another how big it is. I suspect she might get a bigger crowd than Guns N Roses.

Could go either way. Somebody claimed they'd received an e-mail saying Manchester in June 2024 in the week of Glastonbury, so it may not necessarily be impossible, but equally, could well be an "own shows only" type of deal. That size of crowd hints the demand is very much there.

I wouldn't be surpsied if they came back next year. The killers did a secret set in 2017 then came back to headline at the next Glasto in 2019.

Tbf, they weren’t first choice (or second, apparently) so wouldn’t read too much in to that - they were basically called in for a favour.

The 1975 are an absolute guarantee IMO.

I don't see it personally.

Matty Healy has been called out a fair bit for various controversies over the past year or so and I feel it's something that might continue to grow. In fact he was called out at Glastonbury yesterday by Rina Sawayma (not debating the legitimacy of him being called out btw - so not to derail this thread).

Would Glastonbury really want another controversy on their hands? Potentially of course, but I think (baring in mind they'd be a step up anyway) I think they'll avoid it.
