APE is over 2 weekends so the second weekend is the same as Victorious but those have all been announced (Fri:LCD/Sat:Justice/Sun:Postal Service).

That would mean the weekend before would be possible as only the Sat (Loyle Carner) has been announced.

So yeah, APE is possible.

Despite this Victorious may not like it as it could hurt sales - mind you its been on sale months now

APE also do the Monday some years

Are there many times when a headline act does both Victorious and APE?

Certainly given it's a sub-2 hour drive on a good day from Portsmouth to London, there's that question of whether there's an exclusivity tag. Although Victorious didn't necessarily say Biffy Clyro would only be present there.

I'd be happy with it but it's gotta be fake.  I don't think IDLES can play because they are in France. The Last Dinner Party played last year.  Romy played about 3 times last year.  Lorde was only there in 2022 and hasn't released anything new.  So it's pretty good but enough on there which really unlikely to happen for it to be fake.

Last Dinner Party will 100% be there I'd say. Recency matters not at this early stage. In fact, if anything, it's a benefit.

It’s probably been discussed already but could Beyonce be the big American female act? New songs yesterday, new album end of March so suspect she may do a follow up tour?

They had their chance last year and went "...nah Guns N Roses"

I thought rhianna was booked for Sat last year but pulled out because she was preggers. Hence having GNR. I'm surprised thers not much talk of rhianna being booked for this year instead.

She's not doing anything though is she? Apart from looking after her new baby, obvs.

Betonce could organise and spin up a follow up tour to Renaissance between March and late June?

It wouldn’t necessarily need to be a tour. I think that in 2011 she did Glasto and T in the Park only. I think her Coachella performance was bespoke as well rather than part of a wider tour.

100% isn’t happening at this late stage when the headliners seem lined up already. But she’s the kind of artist that would make it happen despite the logistics if she really wanted to.

This is true, but it's the 'if she really wants to' bit that makes it sink or swim - and it's a fair bet that she's done with festivals (for the time being at least).

Do them supposed dates in the ‘Tour Announcements…’ thread for Pearl Jam put them in the frame? “Big American artist who called….” etc

They've said in the past that they wouldn't play festivals where the tickets were sold before they were announced as it would stop their fans from getting them. Whether this remains true, who knows?

There’s certainly enough that they should be in the discussion as Stevie Wonder at this point I’d say.

*edit or Coldplay even which has always seemed odd to me.

I’m not a huge fan but seeing videos of their current tour it confirms how mad it is that The 1975 have never headlined.

Thought this for a good few years tbh. My guess is they missed the boat in 2021.

Their live shows are incredible, sell out tours constantly and have got enough bangers to headline the pyramid in my eyes.

Hope one day they do it

Maybe playing London the same weekend would balance that for them. It would give those fans that have paid for Glastonbury a chance to see them also.
I would really love this to happen, what a time to be alive 🤞😊🤞

although they sort of fit the bill of what Emily said, I don't think they are in the frame.  Think it is just their own gigs this year.

You sort of wonder whether they will ever show up at Glasto, doesn't feel like they will.

They are playing Madcool and Nos Alive on the same tour, so not just their own gigs.

Probably just wishful thinking on my part. I agree they have never played Glastonbury and you start to wonder if they ever will, but they had Guns and Roses last year, so I will keep my fingers crossed 🤞

Other than the fact we have actual info about Stevie and Coldplay...
