Yeah definitely. If it’s Madonna they’re negotiating with and she’s pushing for a bit more they might waver I suppose. Not sure they’d do that for Rihanna. But as long as she’s not trying to go beyond their ceiling she’s a big enough booking to justify it.

Victoria Beckham is reportedly set to reunite with the Spice Girls for a 30th anniversary reunion next year.

The fashion designer, 49, will join her bandmates Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel Brown and Mel Chisholm for a set of tour dates in 2024, it has been claimed.

The 90s pop stars are reportedly considering a headlining slot at Glastonbury's Pyramid stage amid their huge 30th anniversary plans.

Victoria's apparent return comes after she didn't make a comeback as Posh Spice for the band's last reunion tour in 2019.

A source told The Sun: 'Victoria will be 50 next year, and the girls turning 30 seems like two ­anniversaries too good to miss.

 

 

'There will be no new music, and Victoria is adamant she doesn't want to perform live unless for an incredibly exciting one-off opportunity.

'The group have been in talks to headline Glastonbury and this would sit with Victoria's 'cool' aesthetic, and, certainly, hubby David and their four kids would love it.'

The Spice Girls are also reportedly planning a one-off documentary featuring never-before-seen footage, with Netflix and Apple TV said to be keen for the rights.

MailOnline has contacted Victoria's representatives for comment.

The last time the iconic pop group took to the stage as a five-piece band was at the 2012 London Olympics.

The 2019 Spice Girls reunion was then as a four-person group made up of Sporty, Ginger and Baby and Scary Spice, leaving many fans disappointed.

However, Mel B recently teased that this won't be the case for their next project but kept quiet on what their big plans are.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Mel B said: 'We are doing something together as the Spice Girls and it has always been me kind of championing everybody together.

'But this time it was actually Victoria that was saying, "come on, let's all do something". So we have got something in the works, which will be announced soon.'

She added: 'It is about f***ing time.' 

I realise this is likely BS (tour possible but can't see Glasto happening next year) but interesting their 30th anniversary is next year. I think Victoria is over the Spice Girls but I do think she would reunite with them for Glastonbury. The Beckhams have been before and were there this year. Also friends with Elton, so watching his performance and reception may have been persuasive.

Their kids are also at an age where her playing Glasto would be seen as 'cool' to them and I reckon they would encourage her to do it. Last time she was with Spice Girls was 10 years ago so likely the kids wouldn't remember it, so could see her doing it for them. Maybe one for a few years time... Then there is argument whether they are a headline or Legends slot.

I think it's the Legends slot as half the time the Legends slot is talked loosely as a 4th headliner. But if they aren't doing it next year then I don't see it ever happening. No point doing it on your 31st anniversary.

They don't have the catalogue or the desire to do a whole two hours.

And I say that as someone who thinks they would smash a legend slot - that kind of cheese is exactly what a Glasto crowd needs on a Sunday afternoon after four days of partying.

Kind of like before The Stones did, it would be good not to have 20-30 pages on here every year about why it definitely will or won’t happen next year. Pre-2013 it was all “Mick would never accept a low payday”, “They’ll do it for the legacy one day” etc etc until someone changed the subject to Fleetwood Mac and we went round again

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

To be blunt about it, if you mentioned them 20 years ago, then you'd be laughed at. Kylie being booked for 2005 was about as far in that direction as anyone could see the festival going, and Spice Girls are several steps beyond that. Probably even as recently as 10 years ago it'd have been only suggested as a joke.

Still should be the case.
