Now this will be proper fun, if it occurs.

Despite both being dance acts they just don't really work together.

I'd like to see Fred Again and then head off to Orbital i think

They haven’t been relevant for decades. Most people don’t care. Enjoy your time with the other dads. Most of the festival will be elsewhere.

Most of the festival is elsewhere at all times even during Macca more than 50% of people were elsewhere probably

I think the GnR crowd size will be massively influenced by what else is on at the same time. Won't take much at all to pull people away, but also the kinda headliner you'd go see if there was nothing else on even if you're not that bothered.

Basically this. All it will take is a relatively newer act with enough mainstream appeal to take a huge chunk of the crowd though.

The average age at Glastonbury is 39. Don't underestimate the size of the dad crowd.

There is A LOT I'd take over GNR but at the same time, I'm not gonna do it for the sake of doing it, I'll give them a go if the choice is shite

Just don't imagine it'll be shite at all given who's touring

Well that's good news for the other 98 stages - at last they'll have some people!

Its like this every year - e.g. if there was far better competition against even a huge act like Macca than Megan then more people would have gone there.

Kendrick no doubt suffered to PSB / Bicep being on for instance, two pretty big acts for their slot

I thought Megan was good counter programming to McCartney

I guess glastonbury punters are just not that interested in spending 90 minutes listening to someone explain how amazing their arse is

Not worth thinking too hard about crowd size -   Ive seen great acts with tiny crowds and sh*t performences with massive crowds.

Not sure crowd size at a festival is a good way of validating how good or bad somehting is

I think the point is more that the headliners of Glastonbury festival shouldn't even be in a debate about their potential crowd size

It's great.  I still tend to pick up fallout of nonsense, but if there are users that I consistently find that reduce my enjoyment of being on the forum, into the ignore bin they go.

A thread will still show that they've posted and you can choose to view that particular post.  So if I know that someone is in arguments on one thread but generally posting good stuff on another, I'll opt to see their individual posts on the non-confrontational thread.

I did wonder whether I was doing the whole "living in a echo chamber" thing, but then I thought "so what?" I come on here to read things that interest me and I enjoy.  I'm not here to experience a broad range of views from all walks of life and society; there are other places for that. And as a result I find being on here far less soul crushing.

Useful to know! Thank you for opening my eyes to it!

Every user is on a knife edge with me. Your appreciation of Killers earned you a reprieve.

Man, if only the rest of my music taste was as good... 😅

So, nailed on then?  15 year old me would be giddy about it. 48 year old me is a bit less so, but will still watch them, clash depending.

Edit: Just watched the gimme some reggae clip. May have changed my mind….. 😳
