I think we all need to make peace with the fact that as long as the festival retains the demand, with the new system in place, securing a ticket just got a whole lot more difficult. It is, what it is.

Definitely going to make sure I appreciate every moment this year.

Exactly this.

100% success rate for our group (8 tickets across both resales), I know I'm in the minority though. Yesterday has worried me for future sales. The key for me is trying in every possible sale, I wouldn't have a ticket if I didn't try on Thursday.

While yesterday was a bloodbath, I'm not sure if the demand to availability ratio has shifted any - so it may feel like chances are decreasing, but the reality is it's just as much a lottery as its been at any point in the last decade.

I don't mind not getting in, it's having all the details in, getting through that screen, finishing the next page and pressing proceed at 0902 to get booted than I'm angry at.

Our sweep-up group of 48 people had a 0% success rate in the resale. An unprecedented level of failure.

From an initial hopeful group of around 140, there's only around 40 who were successful. Most people seem quite pragmatic about it. The vast majority of the ticketless have attended many times over the decades and the ones I've spoken to are happy to see new people get a chance to go.

My thinking exactly. Not that I don't anyway, but it feels like the chances are getting slimmer every year now

Not really.

I could potentially mobilise about 30 or 40 people if I was really shameless about it. Maybe more. Family, friends, work, whatsapp groups etc.

Some other people just have themselves or 1 or 2 people max they could call upon so I could have 30 or 40 times more of a chance than them in getting a ticket.

I couldn't be arsed mind you.

These suggestions people got tickets well after the sold out message in October/November seem like new information. Can’t remember many saying at the time about that?

Yeah it was definitely discussed. From memory one of my friends got our tickets at 10:36!

We got general sale tickets LONG after the Tweet went out and I saw a couple people on ###### getting resales about 10 mins after the Tweet on Sunday.

Zero out of 20 in the resale over thurs and Sun. It’s going to take me a few days to make peace with that as my expectations were  that we would have at least one extra group to celebrate with.
In total across both main and resales that puts us at about 50% success. One of our groups in main sale purchased at about 10.30 so that won’t happen again. I prefer a longer sale - with it being so quick it seems so hopeless, so in a way I hope they make that so for next year whether with payment or not

But that's always been the case....?

Not with card data. I wouldnt be comfortable firing that out to 30 or 40 people. Never mind the logistics of it. And asking people to give up an hour or more on a Sunday morning.

Now all you need is a quick copy and paste and the tickets are gone in 5 minutes. Much easier to ask people to help.

so what happens to the tickets not paid for from yesterday and the refund deadline next month?

surely a few smaller resales

Back into the hospitality / competition pot at this point. More effort than it's worth to keep having resales for people who cock up every time

just remember the old non advertised  resales they used to do, which used to pop up on here. should bring those back to reward people who put the commitment in

I never saw one of these before but I can only imagine the feeling of disbelief you'd get checking the Glasto website to kill 5 minutes at work and seeing a link for tickets and waltzing right through the process.

I’m in a fortunate position where i can get 2 tickets through a contact every year but it’s not an avenue I have had to take so far

what sucks is there’s a big group of us that would like to go and it feels like the possibility of getting 15 plus of us there on the same year is extremely thin now

Im already concerned about the sale in October and we haven’t even gone this year yet

exact same thing happened for me in both the coach and ga resales!!! 😞 honestly i'd rather have not got through at all than get that brief glimmer of hope!

(i've got tix but was trying for some now rather gutted pals)

Did anyone have the experience of their auto refresher extension not stop refreshing for ages until after the sold out tweet? I'm talking like an hour afterwards.

Have they improved their ability to tell if people are using these or not?

Plenty in our groups over the two sales got through with just f5ing it.
