No tickets since 2013

Sadly yesterday marked the 6th year being unable to get tickets, totally gutted.  There's only two of us and we never got passed the holding page.  3 devices, 3 different internet connections: we left the 20 second time to tick down on one, manually refreshed on one and auto-refreshed on the other.  Never even got through to the booking form, not even a sniff.

Why is it so difficult?

I feel for you.

Yesterday was the first time i've ever been the one to secure us tickets (9th time of trying).

Luckily I have friends with better luck!

What I would say, is that if you really want to be there, there is always a way. There's two resales to come and lots of options to work there.

Good luck.

Sorry to hear that. Best change you can make is to make a group of 6, will increase your chances significantly. It is very difficult for most of us, even with multiple groups of 6 working together.

That's some really bad luck, sorry to hear that.

like others said increase your group size, additional devices is fine but 4 extra people trying is way better.

If you know anyone that goes ask around for bigger groups to join too (resale club on here is a good start!) years ago we stumbled upon a group run by a friend of a friend that was a bit of syndicate situation mostly strangers or distant mates, multiple groups of 6 which all tried and kept going for other groups once they got their own ticket. Yesterday we had about 50 odd people trying for one group, can quickly see how your group of 2 might struggle!

Have you joined the resale group? We've made a whatsapp chat if you want to get in?

It definitely comes down to luck, in 5 main sales I've got the booking form 3 times but  managed to book tickets 2 of those times and did not manage to get mine through yesterday but then my Dad who has never seen a booking page before yesterday popped up and secured tickets for our 6. I think its just about numbers really as suggested in other posts increasing the odds of being lucky.

Get friends and family to help out with the sales for you, even if they aren’t going themselves. Like others mentioned, it’s luck and more people increases the chances.

Have you considered volunteering? You’ll meet loads of new people and could be a way to get a bigger group for next year? Good luck in the resale!

It's definitely luck, but also - harshly - you make your own luck.  Part of that is being on here and figuring out as much as you can, and absolutely maybe a lot of the stuff you can take with a pinch of salt - routers, vpns, ip addresses, refresh rates etc - but it sounds like you took it on board and split your methods up and sometimes there's not much more that you can do as a single person.

There were 4 of us trying yesterday, we got tickets so I feel incredibly lucky, but it definitely makes sense that if you can be involved in a larger group then take that opportunity.  I managed to get tickets in 2005-2010, don't think I've got anything personally since then!  People in groups of 15-20 sets of 6, I assume that not everyone ever actually knows everyone, but you are giving everyone a much better chance.  Once the first 10 groups have tickets that's suddenly an extra 60 people freed up to be trying for the remaining 5-10 groups.

Getting into a larger group is definitely your best bet.  We have 40 in ours (so 7 groups of 5 or 6) and as soon as someone has bought for your group, you move on to the next one to help out.  Unbelievably, 2023 will the 12th Glasto in a row where we've all managed to get tickets, even though we have had to hit the resale on occasion.

The more arrows you're all firing, the higher the chance is one of you will hit something.
