I'm actually quite conflicted as to what to do about these tickets.. might just hold out for warm-up shows and if not lucky with them i'll try and get wembley tickets nearer the time - just can't afford this at the moment

There's so much ticket churn even for mid-level gigs nowadays and I wouldn't be surprised if that gets worse going into next year as cost of living crisis hits more people. I'm not stressing about these sorts of big gigs anymore and will just pick up nearer the time. I just completely missed the Pulp sale and am not sweating about being able to get a ticket.

Admittedly this is weighted more towards people who don't have to worry about hotel/trains though.

On your actual point, I think you're right. For the most part it will be the promoters making decisions like that. Except where artists step in with very specific demands, as they can and often do. An artist simply has to say "all standing pay the same" and the promoter will make it happen. Of course, GA tickets will be a tenner more to make up for it, but hey, it's all swings and roundabouts huh...

I saw Rammstein at Brixton on the Reise Reise tour - I think that wins 😄

I just secured two standing tickets. Worked out as £97.60 each all in

That was easier then I thought it would be. While I was stuck in the O2 Priority Que, my partner got through on the Artist Pre-sale and got tickets straight away.

Got in pretty quickly for standing tickets, used the klarna system to pay over 3 interest free installments which makes it a bit more manageable.. not something to get into the habit of though!

Technically I only paid £99 for a standing ticket, so I have kept it under £100.

Panicked and didn't know whether to go general standing or golden circle, plumped for golden circle even though I can't afford it - my credit card company and going to be ringing me worried soon with Glasto, Pulp, Peter Kay & Blur all happening at once.

Weirdly I got through a lot quicker on O2 Priority than the artist, despite joining the queue via O2 after.
